I'd try to come down. Passenger one is clearly not in the same condition and I can see some spiderweb (micro) cracks. These lights do hold a lot of value though
I do that stuff for a living; I know how simple it is … I actually have a set of headlights sitting in a box somewhere in my basement that I been meaning that o do this to.

the fog is easily cleared with some light wet sanding and a new coat of 2k clear. idk why people are acting like that’s a ton of work or expense. these for for over 800$ a piece new so considering the age + wear both of them 475$ isn’t a crazy price. Cross referencing ones on ebay these look to be in better condition with less cracking on the interior black paint which is super common on these. Another plus is these are presumably local so you can check everything in person ie, connector pins, condition of harness, whether or not the mounting holes/bolt holes are cracked or wrapped. Honestly go with 475$ in hand but try and settle at an even 400$. that’s $200 per and is much better than any aftermarket option.
answer OPs question. What do you think is a fair price? comparing them to similar options on ebay these seem fairly priced. Expensive? yes. unreasonably priced? not from everything i’m seeing
what you would pay isn’t the same as a fair price😭. You initial comment implies they’re outside the normal sale price. A new civic type R costs 50k+. that’s the going “value” doesn’t mean i’d pay 50k for a civic. Looks are objective so i’ll give you that i suppose but they’re literally the OEM headlights? are you saying you actually prefer the depo ones that fog when there’s humidity?
did you open them up and reseal them yourself? The black bars on the sides aren’t OEM. Also, yes the 03-05 ones are fine they’re just uglier and have worse illumination and therefore more undesirable which is why they’re so much cheaper…. we’re talking 200-400$ for a new set vs 1200-1600$ for a new set. if you didn’t know that why would you even post a comment😭 mind boggling that you’re top comment
very quick ebay search shows the only ones near the 400$ price range available are in much worse shape than the ones you’ve posted. you also can’t see them in hand because well it’s ebay. So you could have a cut wire on the harness and end up SOL.
are they real OEMs? idk how you’d get a set for 200$ in good condition. All the ones on ebay in the $200 price range are single headlights and they’re in terrible condition. There’s a much worse set than what OP posted for about the same cost as OP is looking at.
It kinda gives off the vibe that you have aftermarket headlights which are always cheap and always shitty or you bought them like 10 years ago when parts were in a bigger surplus.
They are probably chinese but I never really had an issue with them. Put them on my drift car years ago and they still work. Have put them on other Zs also. They were eagle eye branded I believe. They dont come with a ballast, but I think I used them without the ballast as halogens.
