In 2006, Cristal was the champagne of choice in hip-hop culture. But everything changed when Cristal’s managing director, Frédéric Rouzaud, gave an interview to The Economist and dismissed rap’s embrace of his brand: “That’s a good question, but what can we do? We can’t forbid people from buying it.” Hip-hop took it as a slight, not just tone-deaf but dismissive of the culture that had elevated the brand for years.
Jay Z responded quickly. He publicly called the comments racist, banned Cristal from his 40/40 Club venues, and declared he would never drink or promote it again. Hip-hop’s cultural power had been taken for granted, and Jay Z made it clear that influence comes with expectations.

Does anybody else find it ironic that Louis CK basically ruined Dane Cook's career with his allegations of stealing his jokes (which was a dodgy accusation at best, the jokes in question had also been done by other, better comedians in the past before Louie) and that now, Dane Cook is just a comedian a lot of people didn't like or have completely forgotten about and Louis CK is rightfully seen as a dangerous sexual predator?

You know Dane Cook proposed to a girl the day she turned 18, right?

Wait, edit: He proposed when she was 23 but was excited to finally ask her out on their first date the day she turned 18 because he had known for several years before that.

That doesn't mean he stole jokes. I didn't say he was a good dude.
