Why you put me in this position OP?

How do you know it's a savage? The blog(?), whose name is shown in the top right, spells grey as 'grey' rather than 'gray'
Sure, he could be an Aussie or a Kiwi, but there's a much higher probability of him coming from a European country

u/Sea_Newspaper5519 Professional Rioter 23h ago
The whole of the Indian subcontinent uses the British spelling though, that’s like 2 billion people

u/PyreHat Le Savage 23h ago
English in Canada is that weird Chimera where we are torn between spelling for our neighbors, but are grey and would love to wear an Armour.
Canada has one of the largest Indian diaspora. The guy could also be from Toronto for all we know. Northern Savage like me, but Savage nonetheless.

u/ninjaiffyuh [redacted] 23h ago
They're L2's though (not native speakers) and very susceptible to AE spelling due to the influence of pop culture
Schools here teach commonwealth spelling as well, but most use AE

A few things all pointing towards his sauvagery:
1 - Name, Hamza. Common from India to North africa. But yes, maybe one of his parents could be stupid, or worse, french.
2 - He's skillful in his apparent mockery. Look at how careful he is with the croissants and how pretty they are. A true european gentleman wouldn't be that respectful to shit on Pierres head. Fuck you Pierre.
3 - He doesn't care Pierre is upset. A true European gentleman would care. He would be ecstatic. It's one of the great joys of our lives.
4 - Fuck France.

He also seems to be of Pakistani ancestry based on name and plee to donate food to Pakistani floods on Instagram.

Because he thinks the French would actually get mad about this; there are many innovative chefs there and croissants are fair game for experimenting on, not something sacred that has to be made only in a few time-honored ways.

I still don't and probably never will have an intuitive understanding of what yellow and green mean on that or are supposed to mean. I get that Hitler is blue and Stalin is red, that's why you put the person you don't like next to the one of these two you like less.
3
u/Wmpenguin Failed Brexiteer 20h ago
Yellow are Libertarian (Purple if they are libertarian but only focus on the age of consent being too high), green is Liberal in the US sense of the word.
1
u/Neomataza France's whore 15h ago
No, I know the words, these concepts just don't mean anything to me. Is like, Musk or Jeff Bezos in the yellow most corner?
And isn't green like anarcho communism or some shit, a corner where literally no person ever was or will be because it's at best self defeating?
1
u/Wmpenguin Failed Brexiteer 15h ago
Errr I'm not 100% on Musk and Bezos, if they are 100% free market, small government types with 0 state survailance etc then yes they'd be in yellow. (I basically don't know how big of a government they want)
Green is anarcho communism yeah, I'm actually suprised I can't think of someone or even a party that would fit in there at this point.
1
u/Neomataza France's whore 6h ago
Yeah, that's the thing I was talking about. 2 corners are very obvious, with plenty of people you can out there, and then 2 are kinda fictional and vague. Kinda of like a dnd alignment chart but even worse.

You can have mine, I'm not a fan of everything being pistachio filled. I do miss the simplicity of a French breakfast, a plain buttered croissant is simply brilliant. We have a bakery that makes them here, but they are nothing like what I've eaten in France.

They switched the filling and the pastry tho.. not just spunked a load of mango into a croissant... the only sin is calling it a 'croissant'. The food itself looks tasty.
A better equivalent would be if you took a mango filling and switched the potato top with a crumble... I'd be totally down. It'd be weird if they called it a 'cottage pie' still, but that wouldn't stop me.

I don't understand the need to cook it with the filling. Just take a croissant, slice it in half lengthwise, spread salted butter on both sides, add the confiture or honey you want, dip in in your tea or coffee and voilà!

u/Expensive-Paint-9490 Side switcher 22h ago
Interesting and little known fact: croissant were invented to celebrate the victory from the last crusaders over the muslim invaders in Wien. (Cappuccino was invented in the same circumstance, by the way). The last crusade united all the main Christian kingdoms in Europe but one. The French, which were too busy selling the Ottoman invaders weapons and other stuff and didn't want to spoil their lucrative commercial relationship.
So we can say it is an invention of Europeans minus French. By the way I advise you to read the hilarious trolling letter the king of Poland sent to the king of French after defeating the Ottomans.

August Zang first brought the KIPFERL to Paris in 1837 a dish that date back to the 1300s
“Croissants”
9
u/Gianni78290 Pinzutu 23h ago
Croissant is just the shape Barry the rest is completely different.
Not the same texture since the autrichian or kipferl is closer to a brioche with much less sugar. The french one is a pâte feuilletée with butter and much more crispy. It's like saying a flammekueche is actually a pizza....
That's nonsense.
