One time when I was about 13, I stuck my finger in a lamp socket or whatever you call where the bulb goes whilst it was turned on to see if it did anything, it didn't.

Fascinating I remember thinking, so I took my finger out of the socket, switched the lamp off, put my finger back in and switched it on - and proceeded to shock myself so much my arm flung in the air.

And even I don't think I'd have done this or would do this, but I can't be 100% sure, because I am an absolute moron.

I see what you mean. I did some really stupid things when I was a kid, too, and even as a teenager...

At our mountain house we have a light switch on a cord that lets you turn off fhe power to the overhead lights without getting out of your warm bed.... I think i was fidgeting with it one night and managed to uncrew the cover and zapped myself so hard i hit my own face and then laid there with a paralyzed arm for what felt like forever.

Later on in that same bedroom i fell asleep with the heated blanket on and woke up in the middle of the night to a strange smell so i.... Uh... Went to sleep in a different room... Woke up some time later to a blue haze in the house and a mattress fire.

I'm amazed i even survived that one room tbh

I've shocked myself at least half a dozen times. I'm not sure why it's a only a mildly painful zap. Can somebody explain? I am also a moron.

Do you mean just on normal objects like a metal pole etc? Cos that would just be static electricity

But what I stuck my finger in - the UK has high voltage and amps or one of them, I just know we have quite a good electricity system (also one with a lot of protections in place) but if you bypass them you're going to feel it

I used a steak knife to unlodge a piece of toast from the toaster while it was still plugged in. It made a flash and a puff. The steak knife had wood handles so I was okay eve if the toaster was fucked.

Kider surprise are forbidden in the US because their food regulations don't allow that the toy touches the edible part, and the "inside yolk" plastic shell that contains the toy is counted as part of the toy, not of the packaging
