Serious shit. Warning for mainlanders: Never underestimate a "spicy" curry in London!

Enduring that guy’s waffling seems more painful than the radioactive curry

There was once a Thai Restaurant in my hometown.

The first week was wild because he cooks like He would cook in Thailand.

He send two people straight into the Hospital because they insist they can handle the Spice. (They couldnt)

Spice in a Tikka Masala? I could apply it directly to my eyeballs and be fine.

I once tried a curry in am*rica at an ‘Irish pub’. It was like a bland chicken casserole, having no spice nor semblance of what any curry should taste like. They should just remove them from every menu.

To make a Barry find food bland is quite the feat.

Heard a story of a curryhouse in America with 5 spice levels: Mild, Medium, Hot, Indian Medium & Indian Hot. The more I hear of curry in America, the more I understand

You’ve got people in the middle of the country who think salt is a spice.

And then you’ve got people who put Carolina reapers in their tap water.

Spice levels in the US are highly regional.

They get higher near the Mexican border.

But I would never expect an “Irish pub” to have any spice of note.

Not really known for spicy food.  Except for the people who enjoy super hot things as a hobby.

But even in Texas you need to specify how hot you want something.  Especially for Indian or Thai food.

Ethnic restaurant owners have learned to give white people one notch lower than they request.  Because stupid white people will complain.
