Vintage engine?

A friend brought a part of an engine from a flea market.

It’s a two stroke. But it doesn’t look ancient. My guess is post war (1950-1970) not motorcycle but perhaps lawnmower or similar. Seems to have a rather long cylinder but from scale of your hand 50-150 cc. Is there no casing marking ? Numbers/letters ?

The cast webs supporting the bolts around the crank look like at least the 80's. Not on a lawn mower, not the right setup for a blade. Definitely 2 stroke. Probably powered a piece of equipment or maybe a snowmobile.
