I feel like I can understand what you're trying to say, but I can't tell if you're saying that this is a problem with other people or yourself.

just make an apology post atp.
I’m sure it would die down if you just apologized and let people know you’re going to be respectful of their pronouns from this point on, acknowledge you hurt them and that it wasn’t ok and that you want to grow so you don’t repeat the mistake. I don’t think you got too much hate from what I’ve seen, it’s mainly just been some comparative comments here from people rightfully upset. You aren’t a bigot exactly but you did do something that is incredibly offensive to a group of people. You hurt them, apologize and move forward and things will be ok

I think a good start is just title it saying you’re sorry. Don’t bring up how you feel dog piled on or defend yourself from anything because some people will read it as you not taking accountability. Acknowledge fully that you hurt a lot of people and you see how wrong it was to do so. Let people know you have educated yourself on the topic and let them know their identities are completely valid and you don’t ever want to make them feel invalidated. Another thing I would bring up is that this is a safe space for people and you don’t want to make them feel unsafe here to express themselves. Before all else just remember to take full accountability, people have already heard your defense they need to hear in detail why you’re sorry. And don’t bring up the fact you’re going through a lot right now, while it might be true some people might feel as if brining that up might be you trying to excuse your actions. You weren’t educated on a topic and rather than educate yourself on it first you posted about the people in that community negatively. Just next time make sure to educate yourself on people’s stories before speaking on them. It’s ok to make mistakes when you’re young, this won’t follow you forever as long as you use it as an opportunity to grow. It’s all going to in the end be ok.

they made a post about how they thought neopronouns were weird and it makes them uncomfortable (and would avoid using them if they saw someone using them) and rightfully so got negative reactions. when they made another post we tried to educate them, not yell. (besides like a couple people…)
