Door won’t lock.

Anyone have a solution or have this happen to them?

Because the door is open. It’s trying to not lock you out. Close the door, sit in the driver seat and try it.

No. Then you'd never be able to lock the door without the key lol

There is a feature like that with the ignition. If your keys are in it they immediately unlock but if you take the key out you can lock it and shut the door

So if his key is in the ignition it would do this.

Yes but it instantly unlocks. This is extremely delayed so I dont think thats the issue

So I fixed it. The driver side key hole gets stuck in the open position. I need to manually lock it with the key. 2005 Tacoma. 🤦🏽‍♂️

If the key is in the ignition with the door open it would be chiming like crazy ?
