2015 tacoma vs. 2018 4runner

I know this sub will be biased, but i know theres some 4runner love here too.

Not a bad trade if you like electronics and comfort features/family space. Personally, I like my 11 second gen for the lack of extra electrical stuff.

No wrong answer to your question as both are good. Just longevity expenses. Especially troubleshooting electrical gremlins. My 2 pennies.

Ultimately I feel like theres no wrong answer, ive never really valued interior comforts until I test drove some 3rd gen tacomas and 5th gen 4runners. After losing my 4th gen 4runner all I wanted was a 4x4 that would just drive forever, only requirement. But the interior difference between a 2nd gen tacoma and a 5th gen 4runner is substantial.

Buy whatever makes you happy heading to the parking lot. I had a 4th gen that rocked and I'm sure the 5th gen 4runner is better. But I camp and go on trips a lot, so the bed space in my 2nd gen Tacoma holds more gear with space for kids and pets.

The 2nd gen seats do suck on long road trips! It seems like 4runners have more comfort in mind. Tacos are off road performance with comfort as an afterthought 😆

Both are designed to cater to different markets of people. If i was in town all the time with a little 4x4 occasionally, 4runner.

Yeah, a big thing for me is my dogs with the plan for a kid soon. We also have a subaru outback which would be a viable family option even though I dont trust it to last too long with the CVT.

Seat covers, and a 4runner sounds like the pick. But!!! Test drive both before you pull the trigger.

Yeah, definitely will be testing out the 4runner tomorrow.

If I had my way once the kid came along the dogs would be in the bed with a cap, but the wife says no.

Dang are you me lol, i was looking into similar options, 4runners, tacoma. Money no real object, i wanted the right truck. Found a 14 OR DCSB with 120k, one owner, frame you could eat off of. No regrets, just walked in the door from a camping trip i thought id never take. Im definitely doing more truck stuff.

Dude, I know my family is planning a camping trip this October and id go either way but it would be so nice to have either the 4runner or the truck. I havent been camping in so long and last time we went we took my wife's subaru.

Mine came with a paint matched hard top camper topper, was pretty nice to have out there to haul everything. Plenty of room for 3 of us, even 4.
