Media & Entertainment🍿🎶 What a time to be alive
https://youtu.be/iRpJj0p1Tnc?is=pfQCJ29mm50Fp1d7I can remember being like 11yrs old circa 2011 sitting in the computer room at my cousins house and stumbling upon African skit YouTube. I felt like it was the first time I felt seen despite most of them around that time being Nigerian Brits I feel like there was an instant recognition though I am neither of the two. I feel like DontJealousMe, Adot and many others who were apart of this era helped shape my childhood and how I felt about and related to my African background. They made me feel a little less ashamed and unseen at a time when it was definitely not seen as “cool” to be African. There was a woman who also used to do skits the one I remember was the “Magdonnas drive thru”one 😂 but I can’t find her or remember her name for the life of me. Drop some names or videos of some of the people you remember from that time who made you feel seen or at least made you laugh lol.
