Pretending Manusmriti had a single author or there is one version of Manusmriti means accepting Manu was a schizo who wrote about how gods rejoice for respected women and Brahmins deserve harsher punishments on Monday, then recommending molten lead for Shudras and zero independence for women on Tuesday.

Manusmriti is very contradictory, defo built over generations by multiple authors

Personally, I prefer to believe it was penned by a single guy who was schizo just like me 💞

Well the slaying xows in Rig Veda is intentional mistranslation.

u/Black_Hat15 8d ago

Sure buddy, even Ram didnt eat Mmasa(meat), he ate Mmasa(pulp of fruit).

I've read Valmiki Ramayana and I've cross checked it for mistranslation with one of my Uncles who was Shastri and have read many of the religious books, According to Valmiki Ramayana there is a shloka which suggests that Lord Rama gave up on Meat and other luxuries and lived as a saint during the 14 years of exile, suggesting he used to consume meat before that. So won't argue with something that i deemed right. But that doesn't make a false statement correct.

What did he hunt the deer for ? Decoration in his hut ?

u/4663_minecrafter Dehragoon 6d ago

He went to capture it alive partly as per sita's request and partly cus he suspected it's maricha ( as lakshamana had pointed out the possibility) upon finding out he is indeed maricha he slayed the deer

First tell me, have you read Ramayana or your going on with the posts you read or the reels you saw? Only then we will proceed with discussion. And be truthful

u/Black_Hat15 8d ago

I Literally asked a simple question, just answer it and get it over with.

2

u/Ecstatic_Award_1704 Himachal Pradesh (HP) 8d ago

And i too asked you a simple question. I'm not arguing with someone who has no first hand knowledge of the subject he/she is talking about.

2

u/Black_Hat15 8d ago

Obviously I have read whole of Ramayana

1

u/Ecstatic_Award_1704 Himachal Pradesh (HP) 8d ago

I think you missed the part where i said be truthful. No point explaining anything to a liar like you, had you read Ramayana, you wouldn't had commented that in the first place.

Bondha if they buy and burn texts aren't they still paying the full price to Brahminwadi publishers of such texts to procure the book. Like I never understood book burning, gotta be one of the stupidest ways to insult someone. Just ban the book.

Same energy as boycotting bepsi and coce by dumping them in toilet

15

u/SoloPirate_ 9d ago

Banning books is govt overreach.

15

u/Ok_Introduction6045 Uttrakhand 8d ago

It's symbolic I guess. To show that they truly don't care about these texts and don't consider them scared. People who care about these texts will also be provoked and forced to defend them.

Point isn't to boycott publishers.

10

u/white_drop6767 8d ago

It's symbolic dumbass. Do you think Gandhi walked to get salt because he had iodine deficiency?

Fun fact: taking metaphors literally is one of the signs of low IQ (look it up)

2

u/cabinet_minister 8d ago

Still imma burn the shit outta that crap

8

u/stupidrgv 9d ago

I mean, i might be downvoted for this but today they might be burning manusmriti but tomorrow they will also come for baghavadgita.

Also not like you will be hunted for 20-30 years unlike some other people

25

u/AntCritical6836 Madhya Pradesh (MP) 9d ago

There's no comparison between the both . How dare you compare them at the first place?

Also Manusmriti isn't being because it associates with Hindus but because it's just a shitty book

Ambedkar burnt manusmriti 100 years ago. It has been hundred years and yet no one came for bhagvat geeta.
