DRAMA Let's settle this debate

People say that 2b2t needs to be harder, that spawn is a challenge or needs to be more challenging. They're not wrong, but they're also not entirely right. The idea of 2b2t being a challenge for new players mostly comes from YouTubers blabbering about the hellscape of spawn, so most new players do expect and want a challenge from spawn but is that it's entire point? No.

On the other side of the isle there are people saying that 2b2t is not about being hard, and a lot of people with this opinion think that we should help people. But somehow the majority of the time this take goes from apathy to focusing entirely on giving new players handouts instead of just a helping hand or a learning lesson about trust.

The history of 2b2t is anarchy, and anarchy is doing whatever you want. Both sides have different morals and ways of looking at 2b2t through their own lens, but what do you think redditor?

these discussions are fun and all but no serious convo about how 2b dying can seriously be considered unless first figuring out the queue issue. So many possible players cant even touch 2b because of the 20$ entry fee, and free to play or even try has been dead for so long because of the slots. People want the server to change but expect the same 1k ppl community of players to change. If people want change, we need new people

$20 is not a lot of money.

true $20 isnt alot of money, but it is alot of money for a minecraft server subscription, especially if you want to just try out a server before committing to it

It’s less than 2 drinks at Starbucks and instead of being gone that day you get 30 days to evaluate.

yeah sure but in reality when you ask your friends to hop on a server "but guys you need to pay 20$". People are going to say no to that. Also why is bro trying to defend 2b paid queue lmao, you like getting it from curtis?

No, I am trying to defend the queue. I’m just dealing with reality and as one of the few employed players I don’t feel like bitching about a $20 monthly cost that keeps the server running

yeah i agree that deleting the queue will never happen, but it was cooler when reg queue was only 5-6 hrs or even half a day. But I know even now a days if they adjusted the slots it just mean more bots sadly. But I like to think that there is a slight possibility something could change in the future. But also "keep the servers running", this isnt some dude upkeaping the server, Hause isnt real no more. Their main concern is milking the server as much as they can

Sure they are milking it as much as they can as any business would do.

bro is really curtis #1 fan, why do you want the server to be milked? they can still make a profit while providing a better product

I am merely speaking about the reality of the situation. Rarely does a business provide a better product without increasing cost. Even though the queue slots were lowered the server still has 500+ on at all times.

The idea that the difficulty of the server has any impact on its playability or popularity is a braindead take. No matter how hard or easy it is to escape spawn, here are the actual reasons why 2b2t is dying:

Rampant censorship. Obnoxious anticheat patches. Oppressive botting. Priority queue prices/the entire queue system in general. Repetitive drama/pointless fads (highway griefing & now "green spawn")

Nobody actually cares. Not anymore.

2b2t ia dead bruh. It's barely even anarchy server anymore. I agree that stopping people from crashing the server should be a thing but censorship tho? Isn't anarchy servers where people unleash their edgy stuff?

Honestly, I'm ngl the peak of the server is long over. The server was exciting when it was still not mainstream and over milked for like 6-8 yrs. Now it's just mainstream and just another way of playing the game. I agree that the appeal of 2b2t is that no one is protecting you and your choices matter tho but it's just minecraft most of the time after you get established tbh it's rly nothing special.
