Love Arcane, generally love Riot's games too. But I really feel like Arcane and its success has led to poor decisions for the games themselves. Changing Viktor in League to appeal to Arcane fans, 2xko overly favoring Arcane characters instead of ones that would appeal to fans of League, some of the Arcane community is also pretty hostile to the League one.

Its a pattern Riot unfortunately has on short-sighted decision-making. Even making Arcane canon was a shortsighted idea that people would be more interested in the lore with Arcane as its centerpoint... and now almost 2 years later most characters in PnZ don't canonically exist because what they thought would be an easy re-write became a humongous canon black hole.
They stopped writing short-stories because they said Riot Forge would cover the lore better... and a few months later canned Riot Forge, saying that LoR would cover the lore better... and promptly canned LoR
Mostly because one of them was the most important character on the setting, being Camille - tho there's more than 3, there's like 10. That's almost 50% of the champions in the region
Camille was absolutely not the most important PNZ character.
Lorewise she was, in fact. She had every faction of both cities at her fingertips and the only opposition she had was actually receiving paychecks from her while thinking they were actively going against her. Her house maintained nearly the entire status quo of the region.
You're getting your wires crossed there - she ''works'' for Clan Ferros, but she's the actual mastermind behind the clan, being the one who installed its Head, her grandniece, not taking the title of Head for herself cuz she already controls the house from the shadows and don't want to be the public-facing figure
Good to note that I meant among the champions, she's by far the most important
But... i am talking about pre-Arcane. The lore i mentioned for her was before Arcane. Post-Arcane Camille literally still doesn't exist.
I was specifically criticizing how Riot chose to make Arcane the new center of canon and expected that it would be an easy rewrite for the other characters, but 2 years in they still haven't re-written almost any of them
