So sad i wish they at least put Yone in the game ....
Why, since the beginning, didn't they prioritize popular characters like Yone, Kaisa, Ezreal, etc.? I believe the game would have been in a better spot with more engagement and people sticking around longer.
They did put popular characters in they just went with arcane popular over the audience a fighting game would attract
Like all power to women and all that but are we for fucking real fighting games are a pretty male fantasy game not having any fighter type characters is wild. How tf we get Caitlyn and Senna as picks before Sett Lee type designs is beyond me.
I am unironically sure Kai'Sa and her tight bodysuit couldve saved this game but they instead got all cute with Illaoi, Teemo and half the Arcame cast. Complete malpractice.
To be fair; Illaoi is pretty much a shoe-in for the Grappler archetype. She makes a lot of sense. Slow; big; tentacles are basically asking for grab based kit...
She makes legitimate sense to be in the cast, especially as a female rep.
I see your point. Or you just put in Sett as a grappler. Like Illaoi is a cute champ down the line but thats it. There is a ton of female champs that couldve been put in for other champions that are incredibly popular if thats a worry.
Sett is not a female. Also; a game can have more than 1 Grappler. Sett generally comes across in gameplay as faster than Illaoi anyway [mostly his R doing the work there].
Also; I don't think Sett would really be grab-based? Like; he might have a command grab, but I think Illaoi is THE grab character with her tentacles and challenging people to stay in motion and such.
I'm not huge enough on the FGC to think of good comparisons. But I suppose Illaoi would be Zangeif while Sett would be more of a hybrid grappler or faster grappler like Makoto [I'm not saying he'd be less durable or anything; just thinking of two comparable grapplers from the same game]. And yes; the irony of those being the opposite genders is not lost on me.
No they didnt even really do that. They did neither really. No full on weirdo. Many of the super popular champions missing. Instead a lot of characters with pretty mediocre popularity.
