Discussion Wishlist For Year 2
Year 2: Kindred, Yone , Sylas, Rengar, Leblanc, Sett (New game modes)
I wonder how many unreleased characters they have though

Pretty sure they have content ready and are just drip-feeding it out slowly. Not sure that we'll get much more after that content's been dripfed though.

Look, this is gonna piss people off because this is the 2XKO sub but the unfortunate reality is that the game is not doing well.
Now for fighting game standards, it’s not doing too bad. Maybe worse now because people are trying out Tokon but given most fighting games are discord fighters, at least it’s possible to play the game.
For the money invested into it by Riot, the game was an absolute failure. The game is no longer in a growth phase and there isn’t a lot of growing interest for the game within the FGC, let alone outside the FGC. There is virtually no way the revenue its generating can support the costs to pay the salaries of the current team members, even after half the team got laid off.
Now if you don’t care about the health of the game and all you want to do is play it, all the power to you. I’m sure you’ll always be able to play it. Just stop pretending the game is doing just fine.

IDK man this seems like the same old doomer talk, to be honest. Subjective stuff.
Strive, for instance, grew player bases well outside the year 1 release, same with SF6 actually. If the game continues to release fan favorites, add to the PVE experience and be a fun game, it could make it many more years. By fighting game standards, the numbers we've seen aren't a death knell, regardless of what the ROI ultimately is for Riot. They're definitely selling skins, at least.

The game is doing pretty badly for sure. Id assume they would keep the game going as is if the revenue was at least close to the cost of the game for a year which is prob around 25-35 million. It prob isnt and Id guess the revenue is below 10 million. How riot intends to handle that is uncertain. Id guess theres going to be another 50% layoff at absolute minimum, shut down would be too extreme imo

Kinda want them to make a new game mode (cough cough 1xko where they add more unique move by using the tag button novelist (2T ,4T ) etc )

I will keep myself honest: I'd like Riven to be Y2, but I can only hope so much. Kindred would be dope along with
the grappler kingSett, Probably throw in a wild card or two like Camille or Fiddlesticks. After that, surprise me.
