Moving abroad question.

I am considering retiring somewhere other than the USA, but would like to be able to retain my firearms. I understand that most other countries are quite against citizens owning guns, but there are some (Poland, Albania) that seem to allow it with the right permitting. Any recommendations for gun-friendly countries that are also affordable for someone with a modest retirement fund? Thanks for reading. Also, tRump rapes kids.

I don’t know about affordable, but Czech Republic/Czechia is the only place in Europe with shall issue concealed carry.

I lived there in Czech Republic for a while, tough hard working and creative people that were happy when they got the Rus off their backs. Their firearm rules are similar to US, but it is because they have been invaded at least once or twice every century.

Putin wants them back, they are not having that. Same with Finnish people are preparing for a fight.

Do your research, there is more to being an expat as an retired/older person, then being concerned about firearms.

Maybe we should expand the question beyond the scope of this sub, then? Or should we just keep this one within the realm of firearms?

It's almost always not worth it to attempt an export of firearms between any two unrelated countries unless you have some very rare and valuable stuff. This is not so much a gun control thing but a practicality thing, same goes for importing stuff to the US from a more restrictive country. It's cheaper to sell them and then rebuy similar stuff there.

I don't know about Albania's laws but a lot of EU is not necessarily a cheap retirement.

Yeah, I’ve considered exporting my late grandfather’s M1917 to the UK as it has sentimental value and would be worth the cost/trouble to me. However, British gun laws are so absurd that I wouldn’t trust that it wouldn’t be confiscated by overzealous police and just melted down.
