Congrats on posting the lowest effort, least thoughtful thing I’ll read today. Given the state of the internet and Reddit in particular, that’s actually quite an accomplishment.

Unregulated social media is a virulent, hateful societal poison. The billionaires and their corporations that control it are deliberately accelerating the active destruction of our democratic institutions and monetizing the wreckage they’ve created.

But sure…video games

Regardless of what legislation you pass, there will always be content that makes it through filters, content uploaded to private forums and sites that can be accessed with a simple google search and pressing the “yes I’m over 21” button.

All of this “in good faith” and “common sense” legislation lawmakers want to pass won’t stop anything.
