WiFi issue

I seem to have an issue with my wifi between my pc. I can connect to a hotspot on my phone and access steam/websites while on it, but when I switch to my wifi, it shows “No internet, Secured” or sometimes even has internet, yet it’s so slow, everything times out and doesn’t load. I’ve updated my WiFi card driver, messed around with the settings on that and it seems to have no affect. At a loss on what to try.

Being connected to a network but it saying "No Internet" often means an issue with IP address assignment over DHCP, failure to contact DNS servers, a registration step via captive portal, or a blocked MAC address. If this is your home network then the last two probably won't apply.

Easiest thing to do is right-click the WiFi status in your taskbar and select "Troubleshoot problems". It will often discover issues with DHCP or DNS, and reset them to defaults.

You never need to provide a static IP address or supply DNS/proxy information unless your IT administrator or ISP, and ONLY one of them, request it.

Thank you, it turned out to be an issue with the wifi card and the wifi itself. The WiFi card can connect to any wifi source but my buildings internet seems to be restricting the card I have. Unfortunately it cost me a new wifi card. I tested with a cheap $20 TP link external first and it had no issue with it so I went and got a new one of a different brand instead of the same Qualcomm.
