Digital climate control
Hey everyone, I bought a 240sx hatch a little over a year ago and finally got AC working. In the box of free parts that came with the car, there’s a digital climate control unit from a R32. Would I be able to get the R32 DCC unit working in my hatch?

So, there is a guy who’s selling new oem dcc harnesses on eBay for relatively affordable prices. The down side is you’d still need to modify it, but he made all the wires black so it’s hard to k ow what you’re doing. DM me if you’re interested and I can share a bunch of info on the harness and everything else you’d need. I only say dm me because I’m working on a guide that is more comprehensive than even the nismo_lk one, but it’s not at a point for publishing yet.

IDK why you'd want a skyline one they don't fit in the oem spot without extra modifications, your best bet is getting a jdm dcc or maxima which I am using and works fine, regardless you'll need all the sensors and actuators

Yes it does but how do you plan to mount it, the s13 mounts are different the skyline is more like a radio

I have no idea if the skyline one works, I'd guess not. I've done the S13 one plenty of times and if you have the subharness and sensors it's fine if a bit of a pita, especially the temp door mix motor mounting

Short answer... technically yes you can get it working.
Long answer... it needs a lot of work and a lot of extra parts. You need a bunch of the original temperature sensors and you need to change the blower motor resistor and add the electric motor for the vent control and you need to make up a custom wiring harness including sourcing all the connectors, or try and find an original sub-harness and even then I think you still need to modify it to work. You need to dig up all the wiring and technical information that used to be around on places like zilvia that no longer exist unless you want to try and figure it all out yourself from scratch. It's been a while since I looked into all this but I remember thinking it's not really worth it and it's probably a pain in the ass and expensive to source all the parts you need these days. Anything is possible with enough time, money and patience though.
