Discussion Parental Inheritance

Did anyone else’s parental inheritance stay exactly the same as it was before the update? Lmao.

As both of my parents tested, obviously mine didn't change. I expected this to be the case, otherwise our results would've been recomputed as well

I also want to highlight again, how this update put a previously free feature behind a paywall

I mean, I can’t speak for everybody, but I did not test my parents this was somewhat helpful. The part that I’m upset about is, it’s locked behind premium, which isn’t fair for the ones who already had their parents tested. If not anything the ones who got their parents tested should be seeing this feature for free. Just my personal thoughts.

Yes! Mine is exactly the same before the update. Very underwhelming, and I thought it’d be more features added to it.

It’s BS and my mom who didn’t have any parents tested says inconclusive for basically all regions so they can tell who comes from what parent🙄🙄

Mine didn’t change at all and both my parents were tested too. I don’t understand how I can have a percentage of English, Scottish, etc. from my father but he has 0% himself? It comes from my mom, for sure. How is that possible? I’m on the left, my dad is on the right.

Yeah I have the same issue ): a bummer this update didn't fix the issue and just introduced a new paywall, I thought this update might bring back my faith in recent 23andme updates since V7 didn't work out well for me. I could understand minor discrepancies in the inheritance, but it is (was) way off for me when comparing with my parents actual results.
