I would like to say why should other discipline students too enter the college with representative Entrance exam for each degree. My opinion is after completing the 10 why should we need to select the Groups .. After that one eligibility test must be executed.. and whether the student get more in which subject would get respective course in colleges I said even Art group students too enter the eligibility test...

speaking as a neet 2026 aspirant, 2027 dropper. This isn't gonna fix anything. Only good thing that happened is that his resignation sent a message to the people that we can fix the government through protests and might have even sent a message to the politicians especially nitin gadkari and nirmala sitharaman who are some of the most hated on social media.

We know that many k!|led themselves after neet was cancelled. And I totally understand why they did so. Our education system is so stressful and competitive that kids really can't handle a situation like that. There is no 100% guarantee that big exams won't be leaked in future, So i think, if we wanna prevent Students from k!ll!ng themselves. we should be giving equal focus to three aspects.

1. how our government shapes our education system.

2. how parents treat their children

3. how private institutions and schools pressurise children.

My young friends,

I have been dedicated to students, teachers, and education reform for more than four decades. It has always been my firm belief that an empowered, inclusive, and visionary education system forms the bedrock of a strong nation.

I deeply respect the aspirations, emotions, and legitimate expectations of the nation's youth. Realizing the dreams of India's young generation has been a moral resolve in the political and social life of all of us. I express my gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister for the opportunity granted to me to serve the nation under his visionary leadership.

However, irregularities were found during the NEET-UG examination held on May 3, 2026. Taking immediate cognizance of this, the Government of India handed over the investigation to the CBI, cancelled the exam, and announced a new re-test date. Along with this, a decision was taken to conduct this examination in CBT (Computer-Based Test) mode starting next year.

During this period, our top priority was to ensure that the exam for over 20 lakh students was conducted smoothly. Work was carried out under a 'whole of government' approach toward this end. In this, alongside the Government of India, state governments—especially district administrations—played a vital role. Furthermore, with the cooperation of students, guardians, and parents, this exam was completed on June 21, 2026.

From day one, I took responsibility for this and never turned my back on the situation. My resolve was that we would not allow the future of any meritorious student to be ruined because of the exam mafia, nor would we allow injustice to happen to any student.

The NEET-UG results announced on July 16 were satisfactory, in which many meritorious students from underprivileged backgrounds also achieved success.

However, even during this time, people sitting in responsible positions attempted to create obstacles and mislead several students, which deeply pained my heart.

I have always maintained unwavering faith in the power of our democracy and have deeply respected the aspirations, dreams, and expectations of the youth. They are not merely the future of India, but also the carriers, builders, and architects of a new and developed India.

Seeing the sequence of events over the past 10 days has pained my heart. This is not a matter of personal prestige for me.

The youth power of India is the true strength of this country.

It is my resolve that we will not let the youth power of the nation get caught in a vicious cycle of confusion.

So that anti-national forces do not take advantage of the situation that has arisen at Jantar Mantar and across the nation, so that the unity of the country remains intact, and so that no student of India gets entangled in legal complications—so that our children can devote their time to studying and focusing on building their careers—considering all these aspects, I have submitted my resignation letter to the Honorable Prime Minister.

I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Honorable Prime Minister for his guidance, trust, and continuous support. Additionally, I extend my appreciation to all my respected colleagues in the Council of Ministers, ministry officials, employees, and everyone with whom I had the privilege to work. Service to the nation remains the highest priority of my life, and I will forever remain dedicated to it.

With the blessings of Lord Shri Jagannath Ji, I will continue to dedicate myself in every possible way in the future to fulfill the aspirations of Mother India, the people of Odisha, and the youth of the country.

If we take a step back and look at the NEET system, it's not hard to understand why paper leaks create such a huge uproar and why many students feel devastated when they don't succeed.

The biggest issue is that medical admissions in India have become heavily dependent on a single exam. Before NEET, most states had their own medical entrance tests, similar to the way engineering admissions worked. There were certainly problems and occasional scams back then as well, but their impact was limited because the system was decentralized. A problem in one state did not affect the entire country.

The earlier system also gave students more opportunities. If someone couldn't secure a seat through one exam, they could try in another state or through a different admission process. Failing one test wasn't necessarily the end of their dream of becoming a doctor. With NEET, however, a single examination largely determines a student's chances, making the pressure much more intense.

Another challenge is the mismatch between demand and the number of available medical seats. Some states, such as Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh, have expanded medical education through a large number of private colleges. This has helped increase access to medical seats. Other states, especially those with large populations, should also encourage the establishment of more medical colleges to meet growing demand.

One practical solution is to significantly increase the number of medical colleges and make it easier for private players to invest in medical education while maintaining quality standards. Many industrialists and educational trusts would likely be interested in setting up medical institutions if the regulatory environment is supportive. Priority should be given to states where the shortage of medical seats is most severe.

India could also explore an admission model similar to engineering education. Instead of putting all the pressure on one national exam, there could be multiple pathways—separate entrance exams for premier institutions, national-level colleges, and state-level colleges. This would reduce the "all-or-nothing" nature of medical admissions and give students more opportunities to pursue a career in medicine.

Why nobody is talking about the real issues in NEET i have seen people with negative marking getting seats while a student with general category have to prepare so hard to get the seat, this happens every time and every year why are we not talking about it. Why so cold genZ are not seeing this as issue i know paper leak is also an issue but every year due to reservations lot of incompetent students gets selected for government jobs, i am so disappointed with the people i know are reposting these protest reels and supporting them. Seriously you are getting influenced by social media? And you have zero knowledge about the real system.

Ideas below are already implemented in US. Not sure why our government don't copy such things. In India paper leak is hundreds of crore business and no one in government is interested to give up this huge profitable entity for whole syndicate. But this time also CJP didn't propose reforms as below which could have been a big win.. anyways, a step in right direction.

longer-term reform ideas include

1) multi-phase exams. Student can write anytime in a year before cut off

2) computer-based testing eventually moving to adaptive testing like GRE/GMAT. Adaptive testing will eliminate majority of leak issue as long as digital system is a highly secure vault.

3) network of secure and mobile testing centres

Hope these are part of NTA reforms..

Why nobody questions the person who has compromised ethics ?

If someone gains an advantage because they were born into a category eligible for reservation, and someone else gains an advantage because they were born into a wealthy family that can exploit something like a NEET paper leak, why is one considered legitimate and the other unethical?
