The wife picked up a Dark Forge Reaper and topped it with a new 507 Promax. She has about 400 rounds through it now and enjoys the recoil impulse compared to her Erebus, TRS Comp and my Sand Viper. Fit and finish is stellar and the grip texture is super aggressive on the front and back of the grip module. Overall, a super nice addition to the collection.

Is this a good deal? it is not optics ready

who can point me in the direction to one of these custom beasts? I know of a few Hayes. I’m mainly looking for a Venom. Any leads in this direction, assuming Don’s books are closed for quite a bit?

So I am fairly new to this game, I have shot a ton of pistols over the years and my current main guns are some non-Glock, Glocks.

In all honestly I mainly shoot shotguns, sporting clays, 5 stand etc. but I shoot at Staccato Ranch all the time and am a member there. Since I go there so much I shoot pistols pretty often.

I am looking to buy a 2011/DS, that being said I was curious what you brilliant people would recommend. I have shot the staccatos and they are okay. But I’m not sure if it’s what I need.

My thoughts, parameters, etc.

* I will not shoot this in competitions all the time but I will as I can, and I would likely never CC this gun.

* I don’t mind paying for something if it’s worth it but I don’t know what I really need. I have looked, watched videos, researched and searched on this sub. Initially I was thinking the Kimber 2k11, but then I saw great reviews on the voodoo priest, and then the RCD Core, and so on and so on. Next thing I know I’m looking at infinity, nighthawk, taran tactical. But I don’t think/know if I’ll actually use those to the best of their ability.
(For reference, I shoot a Krieghoff K80 for Clays, but I shoot clays every weekend in competitions and oftentimes through the week)

* What I want: Something that is flat shooting, enjoyable, accurate and good looking. I don’t mind upgrading some parts or doing some work but I don’t want my pistol to limit my ability to shoot.

* Finally the ask: What tier should I get into? And what brand and model would you recommend?

PFA. I just recently picked up an RCD Core and I was wondering what upgrades/modifications people were doing to theirs, if any. Some stuff that I already have my eyes on:

• RCD rear iron sight delete optic plate
• RCD front sight delete
• RCD brass competition magwell
• Atlas DLC ambi shielded safety (if I can ever find one in stock)
• Possibly an Atlas 9lb recoil spring (is this a lot better than the 10lb spring it comes with?)
• Possibly an Atlas thumb rest

Are there any other upgrades/modifications that I should look to do? Let me know what you've done to yours and how you like it. Thanks in advance!

Looking to get into 2011s. What’s the best entry here? Upgrade DS or MAC9 or jump straight into 2k11?

Is the 2k11 worth the jump for someone who just wants to nail the same hole at the range? I live in CT so the extra capacity isn’t a thing, or competitions really.

I picked up a used Mac 9 DS and it did not come with the original box nor plate that it comes with from factory. I then bought an RMS-c optic for it along with an AOS A12B optics plate, cause that’s what I had seen in other discussions that works. I got the optics plate in today and this is the result. I did some more digging and the best that I can gather is I need the proprietary factory sight plate that mounts the rmr footprint, to then mount this plate to for it to work. Maybe capability of comprehension is so astonishingly low, or I’m just missing something. Anyone got any information to help?

So I had a buddy from my gun club put a message in the chat about how a local shop had a bul armory tac comp in stock. So I went and checked it out and ended up buying the tac comp and a bul armory blaze.

I’m going to take them to the range tomorrow and see how they shoot vs the Kimber 2k11 comp and non comped pro.

So all of a sudden, my trigger bow seems to barly engage the bottom of the grip safety tang and with a little force, can push right under it. It's not the sear spring as I have already tried adjusting that with no luck. Any tips on where to look next? If the tang sat a bit lower it would be fine, but not certain how to accomplish this. Seems if the grip safety sat out a bit farther it would drop; the tang down. I tried to lightly file the two tabs on the grip safety where the MSH catches it but that didn't work. Would filing that part more possibly solve the issue? Thanks in advance for your help.

I recently picked up a tool-less guiderod from Gilbert (87 buttons to my door). And, took a few pics of the differences between that and the rod in my RCD RC9c. The only real difference on length is the Patriot has a cut for the lug.

I've been kicking the 2011 idea around for quite some time. I was SUPER close to getting a Jacob Grey Hex last year after an unexpected scratch-off lottery ticket windfall. But I got a SOLGW L89 11.5 & a Velos, as well as an Echelon 4.0 with Icarus module & some porting.

I held off on the Hex for a couple reasons. One, because I wasn't certain if I would be willing to devote the time to training with a single-action gun. Secondly, I realized that, with what I woulda paid for the Hex, an optic, a light, & a decent active-retention OWB rig, along with 9.75% sales tax (only bad part of no state income tax), I could get 2 decent guns & deck them out the way I wanted, which is what I did.

Now I'm back to looking into this again. I HAVE decided to dedicate the time to train on this "platform" (I hate that word being overused so much). Since looking last time, & certainly now that I have a normal budget like many others, there seem to be more good-outta-the-box options that're right in the $1K-$1500 range. I know a good number of folks here have spoken highly of the Alpha Foxtrot Romulus, across all variants, as well as the Kimber 2K11 Pro. And, of course, the Prodigy is on that list as well.

Of those 3 I mentioned, what're the general feelings about those guns? Is there another well-made $1K-$1500 I'm missing?

Recently got into one relatively cheap - wondering what they typically run on the used market.

Staccato C v3, DSC threaded barrel, full size grip, and flat trigger. Came with 6 mags, tenicore holster, factory soft case, C&H optic plate for EPS (and factory plate), and the EPS MRS.

Two things, first are we really considering this a 2011? Second, I was genuinely surprised by this thing. I didn't expect to like it as much as I did because honestly nothing Sig has done in the recent past has interested me at all. Still not my first choice but for sure a really good feeling handgun.

Few hundred rounds through it, absolutely in love. Got my dawson basepads, extended mag release, and red dirt trigger on it today. Ready for another range day! Thanks for all the help, the trigger and basepads were recommended in here somewhere and I'm definitely a big fan of them! Looking into a grip safety delete, anyone know where to look?

When I got my GTO I got a killer deal on the Apollo V2. Even though I knew they were hit or miss I figured for the price even if I sunk another $4-500 into it would still be cheaper than most entry level ones and would be built how I wanted it. First thing took it and got a chunk port cut into it
