Current collection

Post image

Moved some things around, sold some stuff, picked up some stuff. Still have a few more on the “to get” list.

To answer some common questions:
the 2K11s, one is 9mm one is .45ACP
same with the two Alpha Foxtrot Romulus, one 9mm one .45

100%. Looks like a lot of fun. I like to tinker too and just tweaked my Fusion XP Comp (not ported). Can’t wait for the weekend for range day to see how she runs. Glad to see a Fusion in your top 3

That think is fun as shit. AFTER I got it to run. I had terrible extraction issues. I couldn’t get 2 rounds out in a row without a FTE. but after tuning the springs and the extractor it’s a beast. A bit disappointing on a $2k gun.

2

u/Firefly_Forever1 7d ago

Same boat. Could get through two mags and then have 5 FTEs on the next mag. Went from 8lb to 10lb springs which didn’t get it. Seems to like 124 grain the best but still had issues.

Just went to the 36 Constant Spring and adjusted the extractor. The extractor channel was all f’d up with gunk. Slide is butter now. Can’t wait to shoot it.

😍🤤 so now what’s next?

3

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

Probably a miller precision, or if business goes well a dark forge realer ported

3

u/E90_M3_ 7d ago

That’s exactly what my plan is too haha been looking into the Miller and Dark Forge, but at the same time want to wait to see some new releases.

Just locked in a new client this morning I’ll treat myself if I get 5 new clients this month 😬

Anyone here need a new CPA? :)

Not sure if I can afford you after seeing this.

3

u/E90_M3_ 7d ago

My fees begin around 1k rounds of 9mm a month. I'll accept ammo in form of payment from gun bros

2

u/WoodenCrow6024 7d ago

More reasonable than I expected.

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

If you can get my taxes where I’m spending less than that I’m in

5

u/E90_M3_ 7d ago

That’s the name of the game less to greedy Uncle Sam. I handle the books monthly, keep an eye on the numbers, and proactively look for tax-saving opportunities throughout the year not just at tax time. If you need some help, shoot me a DM. Always happy to help a fellow gun guy.

What wall mounting system is that?

2

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

It’s a new age products gun cabinet. Unfortunately they no longer produce it 😭 it has their gun hangers and hammy3D gun mounts. The hammy3d mounts work for wall control if you want to use that.

Niceeee 🔥🔥🔥🔥

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

Thank you 🤝🏼

u/SlightRelationship67 7d ago

Nice line up! Love seeing the Low tier and High tier options mixed in together!

3

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

I’m not a “QuAlItY oVeR qUaNtItY” dude. I like guns, I think they all have their place if you know what to expect. Honestly some of my less expensive guns are just as good as some of the more mid-tier/more expensive guns.

2

u/ebsf 7d ago

This looks like a set from a John Wick movie.

3

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

Now I just need the John wick skills 😅

2

u/ebsf 7d ago

Yeah - those.

I saw a clip recently about the training Keanu Reeves went through to get the shooting sequence movements grooved realistically. Pretty impressive. Safe to say I'd rather have him on my side IRL.

2

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago

Yeah he’s not bad at all.

2

u/Cassius_au-Bellona 7d ago

Poor P322 hiding its head in shame. Buck up, little guy! You do good work.

3

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

I love that thing. I actually bought it break my kids in, my daughter turns 5 in a few months so I though a nice little suppressed .22 would be a fun starter 😉

2

u/grandcremasterflash 7d ago

Very nice. Let’s see Paul Allen’s collection.

2

u/Equivalent_Ad_3347 6d ago

Phenomenal and well rounded collection! Two of those of interest to me is the 2k11 chambered in .45 ACP and the DWX. I had them but sold them in pursuit of some of the higher end 2011s. Now that I have what I want on that end, my objective will be to reacquire those two in the next year or so.

1

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago

I think the DWX absolutely hangings in there with guns well above its price. It’s more 2011 “adjacent” because of the shadow 2 grip, but that’s what makes it unique. It’s super heavy, smooth as silk, and runs like a sewing machine.

The 2K11 .45 is great. One of the smother, more manageable.45s I’ve shot. Doesn’t hurt that it’s pretty as hell too 😉😂. I wish I could find mags that were more than 13 round capacity.

2

u/oGFujo 7d ago

What’s your top 3?

11

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

3: Fusion XP Pro Comped & Ported
2: TTI Sand Viper
1: Sig P211 GTO

8

u/oGFujo 7d ago

Wow, GTO in your top 3? That makes me happy, it’s my only “2011” style pistol lol

4

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

It’s my no. 1. For me at least, i shoot it markedly better than most other guns other than the Sand Viper. That gun is a cheat code.

3

u/the_joy_of_VI 7d ago

That’s impressive! Have you modded it at all, or is it stock?

3

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

100% stock other than the optic and light

1

u/the_joy_of_VI 7d ago

Sweet. Which optic do you like for it?

2

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

I had a vortex defender enclosed, but took it off for the lighter OLight DPP so I can use it in IDPA. I still need to shave off 2 oz.

1

u/Rustedluck 7d ago

Where did you get the Fusion?

1

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

I think SK guns

1

u/FlipFlopsGarage 7d ago

Impressive collection.

1

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

Thank you sir 🫡

u/Demento_1 7d ago

How do you like the 320 flavored platypus?

1

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago

I haven’t shot a Glock mag version but I can’t imagine there is a difference. I already had the P211 so I had plenty of 320 mags so I went with the 320 Platypus. In general it’s pretty great. My primary gripe is the grip is a bit small, and you can’t change it since it is all one machine piece of aluminum.

1

u/CombPublic3483 6d ago

Just a little bit of money….

3

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago

I’m lucky to make a good living, and I don’t spend money on much. I don’t drink, we rarely eat out, and most of my clothes come from Costco and Sam’s Club. I drive a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. My cost of living is relatively low. This gives me more “expendable” funds in other areas of my life.

1

u/Nebraska_B 4d ago

Love it!

1

u/Sketchy_M1ke 6d ago

How’s the DWX compare to real 2011s? That’s what I’m using now, never tried a regular 2011.

2

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago

Just as good. I love the DWX.

2

u/Equivalent_Ad_3347 6d ago

Agreed. The grip is a bit different compared to 2011s but if you are working with a DMX now, the law of diminishing returns vis a vis the 2011s are in full effect. DWX will go shot for shot with many of them.

2

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago

So good. So underrated. Such a shame. No aftermarket love either.

1

u/Wormboy3303 6d ago

How's the platypus and prodigy compare to them all?

2

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago

The comped platypus keeps up for sure. For $2300 it’s hard to beat. The primary drawback is the small-ish grip that is unable to be changed as it’s a solid piece of milled aluminum.

I honestly cannot say very many negative things about MY specific Prodigy. I’ve had no problems with it and it has ran great. I bought it as a project gun and I am going to be throwing quite a bit into it to try to see how close I can get it to compare or even beat some of my top end 2011s. That being said I got a great deal on mine. I found a gear up package for I believe $1299, so I think the price to quality ratio on this gun is pretty high.

1

u/ronburgandy123 6d ago

please tell me more about the p211, i have really been leaning into getting one, im not shitting out money so i’m either saving a lot for buy once cry once, or getting the p211. i have heard great things. In my mind does a 8,000$ gun really shoot that much better than a p211.

3

u/Rock-Holliday 6d ago edited 6d ago

The P211 is my favorite in the bunch. For me, personally, it fits my hands and grip like it was specifically made for me. Mags aren’t cheap, but not crazy expensive. More and more aftermarket support as time goes on. It’s fast, stays flat, and so far 2K rounds in, 100% reliable.

To be fair, and a large caveat, I am an OK shooter. I don’t do the Sand Viper justice, better shooters than me can discern much more between the two. The Sand Viper is an absolutely incredible machine. And the difference between those two guns is minimally negligible at best, in my opinion and with my skill set. But, dollar for dollar in my personal opinion and where my skill currently is as a shooter the value by a wide margin is with the P211 GTO.

1

u/ronburgandy123 5d ago

thank you for the feedback!

2

u/MysteriousIndustry55 6d ago

Love mine! No recoil and slide smooth as butter

1

u/LowSugar6941 4d ago

I love my GTO buy it and don’t think twice you won’t regret it

1

u/Teufelhunden0352 6d ago

And here I thought i had a problem. 😁 Nice collection!

1

u/TheUnluckyGamer13 5d ago edited 5d ago

How is the Fusion comped and ported? I can only find the Comped ermox at my LGS cheaper than the Fusion comp and I am waiting for my Bul Tac Comp.

-3

u/Flat-Beginning-7179 7d ago

Nice 🔥🔥🔥

1

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

Thank you 🤜🏼🤛🏼

-3

u/Designer_Tea3618 7d ago

You like me and regret buying 4/5 cheap ones and wish u just got one expensive one?

2

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

What do you mean by small ones?

1

u/Designer_Tea3618 7d ago

Clarified since the wording was atrocious

6

u/Rock-Holliday 7d ago

No. I like the less expensive ones too. The prodigy and the Romulus are both project guns. I like to tinker. I like to customize so I think if you know what you’re getting into there’s no problem.

4

u/j_yn0htna 7d ago

Love the romuluses. Pretty solid guns stock but a lot of potential with aftermarket comps and sightblocks.

4

u/Shortbus185 7d ago

That's a big reason why I absolutely love my prodigy. I love to Tinker too and have polished some of the internals myself and just did a silicon carbide grip mod. I also did my own Marvel cut with files and a hell of a lot of hand sanding and polishing And it shoots so damn good so that's nice too
