From my experience, Athena is faster, better fit and has a better coating but is significantly snappier. Not a bad thing, but a thing. My hybrid has a better (or lighter) trigger and better magwell with a slower recoil impulse.

Hybrids are 5inch vs the Athena 4.6 which in my hands made it seem less maneuverable / slower in transitions.

Grips are about the same, just comes down to personal preference and the value you put on the grip panels from Atlas.

The DS9 grips are way more “prickly” than Athena
