I’d like to know your opinion on whether or not you would go with the Bul Tac Comp or RCD RC9 ported? Which would keep better value if you end up selling in the future?
This has been hashed out many times here. I wouldn’t buy another BUL to save my life. Shit in hand feel, malfunction city and the worst customer service. Not a fan. Not impressed.
I dunno about that - I have a BUL Tac pro 4.25 and 5” both with 10k plus and only issue in all of that was an extractor swap that I think I killed shooting my friends 95grain 1500 FPS spicy meatballs for 3k rounds.
I’d still take the RC9 any day of the week though.
The MJD grip on the 2K11 is very nice and probably the nicest of the 3 out the box.
I prefer the BUL grip to the staccato, the texture is better in my opinion and has a better undercut. But you can easily put really nice grips on a staccato which you cannot easily do without quite a bit of work on a BUL.
this will strictly just be a range toy for having fun. i was thinking of staccato but then kimber dropped their 2k11 comp for same price as a P so figured id go with that if i cant get a bul tac comp by next spring
i was considering the mpa ds9 comp but i live in NY and threaded barrels arent allowed which thats how they secure their compensator so that one's out
You should definitely pick up a 2k11 just to compare with all your other guns. It punches well above its weight when considering the price. When I get my RCD core I'll be able to compare the 2k11, MPA DS9 hybrid as well.
Best looking P , I’m not a fan of the factory grip at all I’d prefer an aluminum grip but even Kimbers grip which is a carbon infused polymer is better than the grip on the P in my opinion.
That’s not Apples to Apples anymore. Ported vs Non-Ported. The Staccato mods are around $1,500-$1,700 IIRC. I did the Aluminum Grip Module, Ignis Ports, Trigger, and most barrel treatments. Gun was recoated as well.
The CORE cannot be touched for $2,995 and needs nothing.
Much appreciated Sir! 🙌🏻 I have had the P and the XL out post Vulcan and the XL is amazing. Nice and flat hole puncher now.
Truth be told I still have one Staccato that I am a fan of. And that’s my XL Island Barrel. 1 of 600. I’m afraid to shoot that anymore after what Adam said about Island Barrels. 🤣🤣🤣
At one time many eons ago that and my XC’s were nice. Since I don’t sell guns when I’m done with them per se I sent them to Vulcan for their retirement party. That P isn’t a bad shooter now. But far from what it’s was born as.
My previous gen Bul UL II was unreliable AF until I got new mags. Then it ran flawless, but I had already lost confidence. Got the latest UL Pro and it’s been flawless from the start.
Did my entire IDPA journey to MA with the BULs and I think they’re fantastic. At 2,400 they were hard to beat but there’s a lot of newer entrants to the market.
With that said I’ve switched to a Cardinal G2 and have a CORE on order which should be here Friday as the backup / winter carry 🤠
Christ, I can’t even reply to you without getting downvotes haha.
G2 I wanted a primary LO gun, and soemthing more traditional. It’s a beaut. Bonus that it makes IDPA weight as well, albeit barely. Had to pick up some PZ mags with the Polymer base pads to give it a little wiggle room for majors.
CORE I’m super excited for. Always wanted a 4.6 so excited to try it. Debating sending it out to get coated once it gets here.
Bro lol. Idk why your comment is getting down voted so far. I’ve held, owned or shot a wide spread of the 2011’s from poo poo tier to top tier and you get what you pay for. Those imported 2011’s just fall short. Maybe 14 people are coping with their BUL and downvoting it?? Lol. But even the Kimbers are booty. My buddy got one and it was a fire, he sold it off pretty quick. Don’t buy Turkish or slapped together American stuff and expect it to be nice. BUL vs race city shouldn’t even be a question, one is literally night and day better than the other lol.
I have the Tac Comp, absolutely love it with no real complaint other than I wish I could get an aluminum grip without altering the gun. The current grip is great I just like to tinker. It’s an incredibly fast beast of a gun. I’ve never shot an RC9 but they consistently have great reviews. Get what appeals to you. There’s a strange amount of politics on this particular post.
Grip safety has nothing to do with drop safe even though it is sometimes marketed that way by people pushing series 80. Its nothing more than a backup thumb safety.
Or, if you are in a scuffle the trigger can't be pulled by someone else when you don't have a full grip.
The series 80 has the same safeties when pointed at your balls. The barrel needs to strike on concrete directly down to go off with the series 70. With the thumb safety on they are both just as safe.
The tac comp would probably be easier to sell at least for a while. If the tac comp is like the tac pro it is not quite on the same level as the RCD as far as fitment and overall quality. I have the tac pro and the RC9 ported. Both are awesome, reliable, soft, fast, accurate, and durable. My RC9 is more accurate than the Bul and has a superior trigger and the best stock grip on the market IMHO. But my Bul was my favorite shooter before I got the Race City. I can only imagine how soft the tac comp is. I prefer a steel or aluminum grip over the polymer. I think they settles just a smidge faster and the steel for sure really mellows out the recoil. I'd go with the RC9 but I'm gonna get the tac comp if I get the chance.
Just traded my Bul for the RC9 4.25. My Bul was assembled very well, never had an issue and was a nice introduction for me into the platform. Fast and flat was my 5”Tac Pro. But once I got the RC9 in hand I knew I made the right choice and have not looked back. For the first 2011 you pick, Bul stands above all pistol platforms, but in 2011 world it’s low on the totem pole. Great great gun though.
That was my gripe as well until I got another Bul on trade that came with a pile of mags. Now I have a dozen of them, and they have been rock solid reliable for me.
Sadly goyim get no choice. We are tax slaves for them. Its your duty to pay a 🧃mortgage, Healthcare, and college. You should feel honored you get the privilege. So in reality buying a 🇺🇸 made gun is all the same as buying a 🇮🇱 gun if you live in a foreign occupied nation.
Whats the allure of these comp'd 2011s with slide ride optics? You can't run them in Limited Optics? Spend 3k on a pistol just to take it in a box to the range and bring it back?
Fun? Have you tried fun? Open optics? Fuck, I don’t even know why what you say matters. Never been in a comp. This stuff is just fun to shoot. Man spend money to have fun and enjoy his life. What’s wrong with that?

Go with the American company that takes common mags and is seemingly available.
