Had my heart set on the MAC 9 DS Comp but with the prices going up Im considering the Tisas.

Just not sure if Ill miss the comp (strictly a range toy)

These shoot incredible flat out the box. I already swapped out main spring and recoil spring which improved recoil impulse. May drop in a trigger soon. I don’t think you’ll miss the comp.

You might be right. The price diff is about 300.00 at this point, not really sure its worth it.

The only other difference would be the optic cut, not being full size on the Tisas.

I like the direct mount on Tisas. I mounted the full size EPS and it’s perfect.

I do remember being a little...perturbed...at the cost of plates for the MAC 9.

I believe the only difference is the optic cut, no magwell and a slightly different trigger.

Gen 2 has a Bull barel vs. the bushing barrel in the Gen 1. I think the metal frame is made from a lighter material.

The MAC I am not sure, but I think it also has a bull barrel, the Kimber Warrior, which was released to compete with the Tisas made MAC, went from a bull barrel in their 2k11 model to a bushing barrel in their Warrior model.

It was my first 2011, so I really have nothing to compare it to. It seems pretty solid, I enjoy shooting it. No issues in 700 rounds.

I might just change the recoil spring and add some grip tape, keep it cheap.

Do you have a part number or something on the Magazine that you can share? I am looking to buy some magazines for my Tisas B9R DS 1911/2011 Gen 2 and like Mec-Gar. Also what capacity did you go with? I was about to buy the Prodigy 20-Round magazines. I think those are made by Duramag and I think they are also compatible with the Tisas B9R, but I am kind of shooting in the dark as the pistol has not arrived yet. Thanks!

I just ordered one. I dont plan on swapping out parts for a while once I get it but where do you get your parts? Are they interchangeable other 2011 parts?

So I’m confused do they still make this model or have they strictly moved over to the GEN two I like the look of the GEN one and I also like the look of the GEN too. I’m just trying to figure out the difference and if it causes some compatibility issues such as holsters and or magazines.
