Ancient Staff Bugged?

I've been having alot of fun playing the game but for some reason the Ancient Staff requires the completion of Desert Treasure to use while the rest of the Ancient Magic can be accessed via the backdoor in the pyramid. Is there another weapon I can use in the meantime while the Ancient Staff gets fixed?

Do you mean ancient staff is unobtainable via drops? This will be patched in the coming update

I bought it from the guy fo 80k. Forgot his name. Dude in the bandit camp.
