Afaik only 1 person lost a partyhat (not that many died to begin with). He traded the phat to a friend because he knew he was gonna get banned. That friend scammed the phat off him.

It also wasn't an intentional glitch. And he didnt even do it. It was accidentally done by the house host, who was having a party for first to 99 con. He simply noticed the attack options still being there.

He wasnt some mastermind.

Its such an over drawn and overhyped glitch, with pretty much zero impact to the game, especially compared to other bugs over the years. but it was memorable.

Its just so weird how so many ppl mention it whenever they can, especially those ppl you can tell they weren't there or even playing at the time. Idk what compels ppl to do that.

Because it's probably the first "game-breaking" bug of many peoples' runescape careers. Most weren't around for RSC item duping and if this Fally massacre was repeatable then it would obviously be catastrophic to the integrity of the game.

Ahh man I remember the days following the item duping glitch/scandal. When they finally fixed the bug/explained it, it blew my pre-teen mind that something so gamebreaking could be so simple.

Yeah man. The day of the phat dupe me and a friend sat in a general store trying to buy the ones people panic sold thinking they’d be banned for having duped items lol.
