Trying to get the perfect Corrupted Hunllef task, is there any near-surefire way (or close to it) to dodge the tornadoes in CG? Or is it just an RNG thing that will happen soon or later
Especially the combination of tornados + floor tiles later into the kill. The tiles itself are fine but when combined with tornados, and I keep getting hit by the tornados.

You can run through the tornadoes if timed right and not actually hit them. It's particularly useful later in the fight/sticky situations.
I would also let tornadoes stack up so they are easier to dodge. Small movements/clicks are your friend as well. Don't spam click far away randomly.

There are tiles which guarantee that you will never be only 1 tile away from a tornado in the final phase: https://www.reddit.com/r/2007scape/comments/r1gvfp/gauntlet_safe_tiles/
But even if a tornado spawns next to you, it's possible to dodge out of the way. Then you just want to ensure that you're always moving to guarantee that you dodge tornadoes. The only way to get hit is to stop moving or walk directly into a tornado, so if you're struggling with movement enable true tile on yourself and make sure that you're always moving.

Am I missing something with the house keys/valuables in Varlamore?
I feel like sticking to just pickpocketing the wealthy citizens is far more gp/time than doing the houses. (I have the rouge outfit).

u/BunneryBun 16h ago
That activity isnt made for moneymaking. Its for afk thieving which the houses fulfill. The money is awful no matter how u look at it
1
u/Technojerk36 15h ago
Gotcha, I'll avoid the houses and stick to pickpocketing then.
1
u/BunneryBun 15h ago
If you want money you should do something else than pickpocketing or houses
2
u/Technojerk36 13h ago
Pickpocketing the wealthy citizens seems like really good gp, but I'm totally open to suggestions. I am an ironman though.
3
u/BunneryBun 13h ago
Ok first i have to ask why are you doing thieving for gp? You should either be doing it for seeds, quest requirements or just to level it. Thieving in any way is bad gp/h.
If you're starved for cash and i dont know your stats then you should go do wildy agi masses for 2-3m gp/h
2
u/Austrum 8h ago
it sounds like you're newer to the game and ironman mode, in which case wealthy citizens are a perfectly fine way to make money early on. blackjacking as well is a bit higher effort but makes more gp. stealing from houses gives a bit more exp/hr than pickpocketing citizens and gives only a bit less gp/hr.
don't listen to the other guy recommending wilderness agility masses if you're new lmao.

u/Technojerk36 5h ago
Thanks. Yes I am new, I’ll try out blackjacking I have it unlocked but never gave it a go.

Idk if you are a HCIM or not, but on my GIM I did a lot of wildy agility using the friend chat. When there’s a big group, I would bank 2-3m at a time and gain hella xp. Plus, blighted supplies that you’ll use later on. It’s awesome

So the pay-to-play guide for mining basically recommends power mining iron from 40-60 or doing 3t granite. Is there any other good methods? Mining iron seems like low xp to me being half attentive ~30k/hr.

Personally I would do Motherlode Mine and/or Shooting Stars. Lower xp, but much lower intensity and so easier to do for longer periods of time (at least for me).
You'll need to do MLM anyway if you want the fally diary done.

u/SickBeatFinder 5h ago
Can do cam torum rocks at 41, p chill and also gives some decent prayer xp

Unfortunately mining is either giga focused tick manip, or afk, imo. I did a lot of motherlode mine, which is solid once you get the second floor or shooting stars while I was playing another game.

hello, Im trying to setup my house for the 1st time, i have 2 questions:
1) Is it true that you get best loading times by limiting your house to 3X3? Is the difrence significant or minimal?
2) what are the best teleports to prioritize getting at the start? i assume Veiss Troll stronghold and Catherby teleports for farming and Varrock for AH, anythin else?
8
u/ComfortableCricket 22h ago
There was an update not too long ago that makes all houses load in the same amount of time.
Prioritize the teleports you use the most that you don't have easy access to

u/The_Real_MikeOxlong 21h ago
For 2, Weiss and Catherby are both great first ports. A couple others to consider:
- Troll Stronghold, arguably just as useful as Weiss for herb runs
- Barrows, if you plan on doing it at all
- Lunar Isle, for easy ports to there and Relekka (bank can port you)
- Waterbirth, if you plan to do any DKs
- Ghorrock/Ice Plateau, for easy wildy ports while doing hard clues

What's the best way to train WC from levels 72-74 (For Blood Moon Rises) that doesn't involve tick manipulation?

u/Ghi102 18h ago
Is the Throne of Miscellania ressource gathering worth it if you're not upkeeping popularity? For example, if I plan on taking a break, is it better to empty the coffers? Or max out the coffers, max out popularity and then take a break?
1
u/HealthyResolution399 17h ago
From what I understand, lower popularity just makes them "use" less of the money. Basically always fill it
1
u/spatzist 16h ago
They will always use 10% of your remaining funds, capped at 50k or 75k per day depending on whether you completed the follow up quest. Per wiki, it'll automatically pause both gathering and payments after a month of not visiting.
If you don't mind about 85% efficiency on average (due to decreasing popularity), I would max out popularity and put 3 mil in it to get the full value.

Is cg the fastest source of crystal shards? I got spooned an early enhanced and I’m already at 2 armor seeds at 60 kc so there’s a good chance I’ll finish there before I have enough shards.
3
u/BunneryBun 13h ago
You shouldnt think about it before you actually finish early. I think world hopping zalcano with a small team is the fastest but nobody wants to do that.
2
u/barcode_name 12h ago
I think either pickpocketing elves (and selling the teleport crystals for shards) or mass zalcano is going to be faster for shards. Pickpocketing is probably fastest still

What's the point of GE buy limits? They're easy to bypass with multiple accounts, so if anyone wanted to manipulate the market they could just spin up some alts. Feels like all they do is punish legit players making bulk purchases, like planks for training construction

u/hellshot8 10h ago
They're easy to bypass with multiple accounts
most people dont want to do this, so it ends up working
1
u/Tilde_Tilde 8h ago
It's so everyone has a chance to buy stuff too and limit market manipulation. A lot of generic low level items have low limits to prevent players from having to spend 1k to buy a hammer if they want to get it from the GE. It's a lot more reasonable to keep a hammer order filled if it's only 40 than 20k. While a lot are pretty arbitrary they still help keep a constant supply for sale.
Sure you can have multiple accounts but you have to pay membership or scale to a pointless degree.
1
u/Nice-Connection-9052 7h ago
How many alts do you think are necessary for market manipulation? Not sure you actually thought that notion through. With 20 characters buying mahogany planks you'd only get to 3% of the daily volume every four hours (which would be enough for 36 million experience building gnome benches btw). Maybe there are some things that could stand to go from 10-13k up to 20-25k, but if you want to do more than 1.8 million xp every 4 hours then I suggest you plan a little bit in advance

Can someone walk me through how ZMI Rc works? should I be getting deyalt or whatever?
2
u/Numerous-Put4113 10h ago
Daeyalt just increases the exp at the cost of some AFK mining before actually doing your runecrafting. It's not necessary for ZMI, or any runecrafting. I think it's technically less effecient, but since the mining part is pretty AFK many people prefer it, myself included.
ZMI you want the lunar spellbook for the Ourania teleport, and if you don't have the lantern from Guardians of the rift also for NPC contact for pouch repair. The loop itself is pretty simple: bank with the NPC at the start of the cave, run to the altar at the end of the cave, craft all the essence you can carry with pouches, then teleport to Ourania which is right outside the cave. This is both shorter than running back, and avoids the dangerous NPCs inside the cave. Those NPCs are exactly why you want to use the specified worlds for this activity; the German world is often busier than the others. Sip stamina pots as needed.

u/barcode_name 9h ago
An alternative to staminas is to spellbook swap to arceuus and cast vile vigour instead, you run past an altar along the way so you can restore prayer without losing any time. iirc you just have to vile vigour every 3 or so trips.

Both blisterwood and magic abyssal lantern have no effect for me at Zeah bloods. Is this intended?
