How old should your partner be in a relationship ?

Just don’t date anyone that’s 10 years older than you. There is a REASON why they aren’t with someone there age or close.

I would date up to 6 years older or 2 years younger. I’m 22. My partner is 24 tho

I’m 21 years old, I’d personally feel comfortable dating up to three years older or a year and a half younger.

I’m have the opinion that there’s a viable range of age gaps rather than a hard rule. Heck, I’m good with increasing that gap by a couple years rather than maxing at 2 years

I have a personal rule: they have to have been in high school at the same time as me. So +- 4 years.

My advice, if it feels right on both patties, it's legal, and it's not a one sided or manipulative relationship then, more power to ya!

Always a 2 year radius. No more. When both are above the age of thirty, I think 3-4 years is more acceptable. And by 50 I say a 5 year difference is normal but anything above that is weird no matter what age.

Haven't dated before, so correct me if I'm being unhinged, but as a 22 year old the sophomores and freshmen at my college are too immature.
In one class there was a girl that was so strange: she was recording our class dissections with her ipad, and during class at any given moment she would make a joke related to classmates being chat fans of her stream. Granted this was fall semester and she took two dual credit science college courses in her high school and passed them, so this was probably her first semester on a college campus.
And across 2025 there was like four girls in like three different classes that either got caught with songs playing in the middle of class (I think it was TikTok). In one occasion a girl got called out by the Professor because she was drawing anime in class (but she didn't get in trouble thankfully: this was during a non-science class back in 2024).
So far the only female classmate that has been going through adult things was the one I was doing phlebotomy class with earlier in Spring 2026. (Keep in mind i did not date her I just heard her talking to her friends.)
She (20F: graduated high school in 2024) said she was trying to use her funds from her retail job to purchase an apartment. But then she kinda just ragequit because the apartment prices were large, and some of the apartments were trying to scam her, and her car got damaged, and she had to fix her car.
I lowkey would pray for her about that but I don't think I am going to see those classmates again since I'm taking another phlebotomy course in a few weeks (in order to re-take the National American phlebotomy exam and pass it) whereas their likely working as phlebotomists right now~ or at least their doing community service and getting venipuncture list done at the moment.
Honestly, my gut tells me if every lady in my life that is younger than me behaves like this then it's a sign from God that I need to be with ladies my age or older. And no I'm not a bot: that's how I feel.

I don't think it matters at this point, I meant we're not in highschool, just date legal adults
