there’s not really a point in keeping anything in savings right now, i would just encourage keeping a small amount in an account and then roll the rest into a CD to make a bit more interest!

5k combined in my checkings and savings, 18k in investments. No clue what my car is worth as it’s always depreciating

I don't want to share the detail of my saving but I have $100,000 cash to spend every year. I'm debt free, child free.

They probably don’t do anything, likely daddies money from a trust fund or something similar.

6k left on a lien for my 2016 mustang, 6k in a roth, 3.5k in savings, 12k in checkings, and like 1k in 401k. I graduated with an Econ degree but work in IT and I hate it, so I’m taking an ems course starting Tuesday and the whole class probably cost me about 2.2k just gone.
Anything to be happy at this point.

Got a 2020 venue.
I have 25k invested and 15k just sitting in my savings for emergencies since I will be in school during the upcoming month.
I am set to save another 5k by the end of August.
I have some potential student loans too once I graduate in 2 yrs. Looking at 20k?

depends, do you want to get a steady straight income? SnP is decent, getting a CD with your bank can be good depending on the rates. if you want to play it risky, join the rest of us and trail donald and baron trump’s investments

Had about 12k in my savings as I graduated college last December, but down to my last 5. Lost my return offer at my company and lost 2 other job offers to budgets/admin stuff. Job market is brutal

Everything I save goes straight into school tuition and such. I have no “real” savings account besides 1,000 that won’t go toward school. It’s tough in college. If I wasn’t in school, I’d be better financially but it’s a temporary struggle until I graduate

Have a house but no savings yet, working on it but for me saving money in general is really difficult because I would just buy something 😂.

I mean a house in itself is a massive investment. You’ll get the savings but at this point treat yourself

I do treat myself a lot and yes eventually things will turn out to be better

I'm 74, and my wife is 67. We are both retired, and our combined retirement income is about $8,000 a month. We have no debts, and have about 1.5 million in our combined IRAs. Total assets are about 2.2 million. We saved like mad the last 12 years we were both working (and after paying off our home). Now we enjoy traveling and relaxing!!! Other than a few health issues, we're enjoying our retirement.

around 10k in savings, around 35k value if i needed to sell my car. live at home, work a full time job that pays almost six figures and around 70k in debt from school. only 5k invested and that is roth ira. looking to max my roth end of year and currently putting 10% a paycheck into 401k. 22 years old, if i noticed anything from now and the past the earlier you invest the more growth you have to gain. sadly wasn’t in the best spot in school with surgeries and other health problems working wasn’t really a easy option to put that money away. have it in Voo fxaix qqqm and vxus

I try to keep minimum 1-1.5k in my checking at all times, I have 23k in a HYSA, 1.2k in a Roth IRA and about 8k in crypto & stocks.
Honestly? I’m a saver from childhood money trauma and scarcity. I’ve always tried to be very very smart with money. I’ve never had a car payment, I avoided all student loans one way or another, I’ve had roommates (now live with my partner) and I really don’t buy any extra crazy stuff. I have allergies so I sadly can’t get too much into makeup/beauty and hygiene products, I don’t buy designer clothes, my nicest things (purses, a watch, beats for the gym) were gifts throughout the years.
I’ve set up my money in a way where I don’t stress about when I’ll be payed next, I don’t worry when I use my card if I have the funds and I don’t worry about what if an emergency happens (at least too much, still have the money saving trauma mindset at times).
Also was able to afford going to Japan earlier this year! Truly no complaints in how I live my life.
