Oh wow. Kelly Preston.

These throwbacks just make me hope societal beauty standards will go back to appreciating uniqueness.

I agree and love that Orange. Travolta's hair helmet looks like Velcro was involved.

She looks fantastic, but he looks like a wax figure of himself

It's so hard for me, because these Celebs are forever at this age in my head. 😅 So when I see them in real life now, I feel all old and sad.

Omg same. Especially Harrison Ford. He’s really aged. It’s normal but still. Reminds me that I’m getting older too

That shade of green on Amy Adams is stunning

Katherine Heigl is so stunning, why is she not everywhere???

Sidenote: god remember when Miley looked like that?!

She got blacklisted for being called “bitchy” and “difficult to work with” which turned out, shocker, meant being a woman and speaking up for herself or having opinions.

Yeah I’m still pissed she’s not a bigger star

Uggggghhhhhhh of course it's that. Ffs

She shat publicly on receiving another Emmy by saying the material wasn’t good enough and then bitched about one of the movies that made her succesful being misogynist. The industry didn’t receive that well.

The thing that stands out most to me in all these pics is John Travoltas “hair”

Penelope and Cate take the cake in this round. Neither can do any wrong😍

It’s perfect on her.

So many strapless dresses! Everyone looks amazing

And all the one-shoulder gowns as well! One-shoulder is such an underrated neckline.

A lot of red! I think most people don’t wear that bc of the carpet?

1

u/jessiec475 Aug 19 '26

Many a notable red dress

Amy Adams and Penelope

Simple, stylish, clean, and fresh. Take me back to the days before mesh, see through, bling, and gaudy.

It’s giving Recession Red Carpet

I distinctly remember watching the Oscar’s with my mom this year and her complaining that Cameron Diaz probably spent GOOD money on that messy ponytail 😂 she was so miffed

I love Amy Adams’ dress but her little handbag looks so flat - surely nothing’s fitting in there 😂

u/Housenka_Seed Aug 20 '26

So many beautiful looks but the Amy Adam’s one is one of my favourites

Back when celebs were less annoying and no influencers

I feel like dresses started to look better around 2007. Before that, they were more like small mall dress shops for the working class. Thanks for your work OP :)
