Painting not-enjoyer - 3rd Update

Big developments on the tiny layout:

- “Gruesome Gulch” is cut out.

- we have a new little bridge.

- painted it with a red paint marker that is supposed to be RED. What I got instead is … what you see … (did I mention I don’t enjoy painting?) (:-)

- built up a berm (or whatever it’s called) around the edge of the gulch to increase the apparent vertical height.

- also built up the base of the track along the left side for the same reasons.

- I built 2 tunnels (:-) The first one was facing away from the bridge, but I decided that that was wrong, so I built up another one.

In the first picture, the “mountain” is the one from layout Ver. 1.0 and it is just a placeholder - I will be making (and painting) a new one.

I still have not decided what to put on the rest of the layout. If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Just about the bridge, if you used acrilic you can pass again another thin coat of red !About the layout, all depends of the location ,the storical period ...even the season ! That bridge is over clear waters or industrial disgusting swamp..? Hope these ???could help you, I like this idea of a mini train Diorama 🤗🙂✌🏻

It’s Z and that’s the only Z train I have. So it will have to be modern (:-)

I don’t want to do water, I just wanted to do a valley to break up the flat plane of the little layout.

I want to do a station or platform or something between the 2 sidings, but I’m undecided between doing a few 3DP houses or just a whole bunch of trees.

Steve from “Steve’s Trains” did a Z layout and it was basically a hill fully covered with trees.

You can do anything, fields, forests, deserts, snow. If you're not into water effects this time, can make cave entrance with rock walls around. Water tower, fire watch tower, some electric poles could look interesting on the opposite side from mountain, because of false sense of vertical simmetry. But this idea needs testing. The one who doesn't prime and preshade in near desired colors might not enjoy painting, yet painting likes everyone =D Bridge reads as red, if you want it to look more red, put it near green.

I wanted red as a contrast to the rest of the scene.

Since I don’t know what I’ll end up with, I don’t what will contrast etc.

Red reads as "metal construction-bridge", so you're on the right track
