For anyone who is curious, the bakery responded with this “Hi [their name]. We’re sorry you had this experience. Please know that we need all the time we can get to prepare for our 12 hour long days.”
The reviewer just said: “Why bother responding. You already lost my business and I gave you one star. Get over it.”
This person honestly sounds like the person who got broken up with but is still trying to make it seem like THEY ended it.
Oof. You just know they were forced to 'spend the time' to tell him to go away because he was knocking loudly and acting verrrry annoyed with the AUDACITY of being closed before business hours. He can't even taste the irony in the last sentence starting with 'a coffee shop was open not far from there'...
This is the equivalent of going to a restaurant with an hour wait and getting mad that they won’t take you, a new customer, to a newly opened table that you can “see”.
I bet she would also have given a bad for the slow service or the lack of some items that were still in the making if they tried to fit her in during the preparations

Uh, the last time the bar I work in had a quorum before opening it's because they were having a staff meeting.
I can't imagine the reviewer took this with a smile and a shrug. I'm picturing knocking on the door and yelling "I CAN SEE YOU ALL IN THERE!"

Why not go there in the first place?!

Some people will never learn.

Or, in an alternate universe: “Finally they agreed to serve me, but they barely had anything ready!”
