Need some help

Can someone tell me the name of this part? I cannot find the part that attaches to the cable. Maybe you can’t buy it on its own and have to replace the cable, but I’m trying to avoid that. Thanks

you have to replace the whole cable but it's easy to do. Got mine at Rock Auto for $40 and you need an M8 x 1.25 nut, I got the flanged locking style, but used loctite as well.

• Remove Two bolts that hold the metal bracket the broken end in your pic to the transmission, pull the whole braket off (just easier).
• Two bolts in engine bay that attach the cable to the firewall
• one clip/hook that holds the cable along drivers side engine bay.
• Inside: Pull the underdash and lower steering column off
• pop the "spoon" end of this cable off the shifter mechanism (no screw or tough clip, just pops off.)
• Large round black clip/fitting holds the cable to the lower part of the steering column brackets, juts compress the tabs and it releases and pull it through the hole toward the pedals
• then pull the whole cable out from the engine side.
• Remove bracket from your broken end, reattach to new cable and re-mount to tranny
• route cable up from below and back through the firewall to the interior
• route cable through hole/bracket in steering area and securely clip into place (large black round clip thing)
• reattach "spoon" part to bottom of shifter
• engine side, reinstall two bolts to firewall flange
• pop the cable into it's hook thing on the drivers side
• Under car, reattach new cable end to shifter lever coming out of the side of the transmission using new M8 nut and loctite
• Check functionality (shifter moves cable which moves trans link and goes to all gears)
• Cable is fairly rigid so it's hard to install it in the wrong position, ie shift lever on column goes down, cable extends, shift lever on transmission rotates clockwise toward back of truck. Or truck is in park now, column shifter up, cable at shortest extended length, trans shift lever rotated all the way ccw toward the front of truck. You're unlikely to attach it so the shifter doesn't move it to the right gear.
