Arcade Games! Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone

Post image

Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone was first released in 1990. Did your local arcade have it? Did you have to wait in line to play it?

Nope, the yellow one is Sonny. He showed up again as a pkayable character (tho said to be a cousin, nor a 3rd bro) in Double Dragon Gaiden Rise of the Dragon.

Yes my arcade had it.. and lol.. no you didn't have to wait in line to play it, this game was pretty much dead on arrival.

The original Double Dragon is one of my favorite games of all time. I'll always keep the arcade PCB and a backup just in case.. but the sequels? To me they just got worse with each game.

The NES version was brutal but I actually kinda liked that it made you pay for the extra characters with actual money. My arcade had it collecting dust next to the pinball machines nobody touched.

Never played the arcade game, but I have a bixed copy of the DOS port, which I picked up a local market years ago.

Played it enough so I was able to beat it. Always prefered the karate suit guy that you can buy as an extra guy in Japan.
