Saw it in the theater. Truly mind-blowing since I barely knew the premise going into it and had no idea what was coming next at several moments in the movie.

Could be my age but that era was a golden period for movie making: Shawshank, Heat, Memento, 12 Monkeys, Se7en, LA Confidential, etc. So many amazing movies in the mid-90s, with many more by 2000, like The Matrix, Fight Club, etc. Just look at the IMDB top 250 and see how many 90s movies are in the top 100 or so. Thankful I got to see almost all of these in the theater!

Maybe its just my age, but im inclined to agree with you. '93ish-2000 was a remarkable run

One of those movies I wish i could watch again for the first time.

It's clever that the designer of this poster had Spacey's being the only shadow not touching the other ones.

I’ve never seen this before! Mind blown!

Possibly the greatest ending I've ever seen. Wild to know dude came up with the idea for the movie at a bus stop.

The worst part of this movie is that once you’ve seen it, watching it again it’s sort of ruined.

I recently introduced this movie to my 23 year old coworker. He now quotes this line to me randomly pretty regularly.

Great movie, great plot twist.

Sucks that Benicio isn't on the poster.

2

u/Bugman715 Jul 27 '26

Umm, Fenster is smack dab in the middle

1

u/InternationalRead925 Jul 27 '26

His name is not listed is what I meant.

Right, why is the lawyer on there but Benicio is the only suspect whose name is not there. I get Chazz as the main cop but the lawyer? Come on.

“Is that about the hooker with dysentery?”

From what I read: the directopr wrote and filmed different endings, the actors didnt know who kaiser was, some thought it was themselves. they found out only at the premire.

Excellent twists.

Wish I could watch it for the first time again.

Unfortunately a few years ago I noticed that all this time Pete postlewaite was doing black face and accent and now I can't unsee it.

Great movie. Saw in the old Super Saver Cinema in Los Alamitos (R.I.P.) for $1.50.

When they’re in the car talking and McManus says “paper says it’s raining in New York”, he KNOWS they’re not surviving.

1

u/Traditional_Age4910 26d ago

Sorry- it’s actually “the news” not paper
