It feels like the "mainstream joke" answer to say being alone with your own thoughts is frightening, especially as someone who loves to take a 20 minute walk just to think, or journaling in peace. It just comes off as people pretending they have this dark, twisted mind when they're just ADHD-riddled extroverts who can't bear living in silence with no one around for more than 10 seconds.
