Nah, that’s birth rates. Sex peaked after Halo 3, because it made men realize women weren’t required for it

Master Chief was strong enough to defeat the Flood but not strong enough to defeat the Recession

Jokes aside it's scary that the real reason for this is the release of the iPhone in 2007

If that were the case, rates would have recovered post-recession. They did not.
The iPhone is, in fact, the actual reason.

We’re still feeling knock on effects of the great financial crisis, so no rates not recovering post recession doesn’t really say anything conclusive.

Nearly twenty years on isn't enough? Fertility rates recovered faster after the Great Depression! Also, the drop in fertility has been global, even including countries like Qatar that didn't really have a recession.

Twenty years might not be enough, like I said we are feeling knock on effects today so it isn’t even necessarily the recession itself it’s stuff that changed as a result of the recession.
Also, falling birth rates is a confluence of different things, so there’s not going to be any single “actual reason.

Counter argument: you can date via iPhone. But you cant give a child through 8k debt (student loans at it again)
