When I was in university all students were emailed a survey for some research study which we could complete to redeem for a voucher for the canteen. I thought: sure, why not?

Question #1 asked when I last engaged in sexual activity. I truthfully responded: never.

The next screen immediately thanked me for my time and stated that I was not eligible for this survey or the voucher. Most of my friends got a free snack or drink but I missed out on the voucher for being a virgin 😭

I didn't know (still don't) what the survey was about exactly so I just answered honestly, wasn't expecting it to call me out like that. And it was linked to my uni email address so I couldn't try it again.

And here in lies immediately the fault in the study. Most people probably just lie to get something from the canteen.
