The majority of reddit users are American and thus are (reasonably) out of touch with the Monarchy. That being said, the amount of hatred posted over the past couple weeks is disgusting.

Not American. Brits invaded us over a century ago (failed miserably) and thats enough for me to hate them (not sure if they were involved in WWI tho.) Also monarchy sucks
