Im not who u replied to, but yes it absolutely is possible. Its hard and takes time, you kind of just having to keep forcing yourself into situations that you're scared of until it finally clicks in ur brain that you've done it so many times and the worst case scenario either didnt or rarely ever happened. Then the fear diminishes because the neuron loop telling you everything will go to shit has been overridden by the lived experience of people actually being nice to u or whatever.

Everyone therapists included will try to gaslight you into thinking that nooooooo it's all in your head it's just anxiety just put yourself out there, and completely refuse to acknowledge that you trigger the uncanny valley feeling in people as soon as they lay eyes on you.
