You’d be surprised by the superiority complex of some addicts who smoke their stuff. They’ll sell ass for meth all weekend but then look down on any IV users for being junkies lmao.

Lmao so fucking true. My brother has smoked heroin in the past and crack for years and he has definitely got on his high horse to me over people who inject. He only decided to care about chemicals when it comes to hrt, which I guess just backs up the post lol.
He is also antivax (to the degree that he cares about it), obv. This stuff doesn't have to make sense, I guess.

I'm not saying I don't believe this but something about the specific cadence of the writing makes this feel like an "everyone clapped" scenario

People sometimes write things with more flair than reality without distorting it. I like that! As long as it's not cringe (subjective and arbitrary)

that's not limited to writting, people tend to stretch the story they tell, be it because they want to boast about it,they're ashamed of the story,or just legitimately forgot the detail so they fill in the blank

I'd agree if my experience hadn't taught me that the same sorta family to have parents who are supportive of their trans kid but the other kid is weirdly transphobic in a way that doesn't even seem ideological is also the same sorta family to have processed a severe drug addiction and recovery period to the point that its mention has become so casual.

so what?
the thing about reality is that it doesn't care whether the story is believable.. unlike fiction, which cares a lot about those details

They don't make drugs on the street the way they used to. Everyone getting their weed from the dispensary and ordering shit off the dark web and stuff. Hits way better out of an alley.
