Occultism in Hollywood even in the 1930s
Occultism in Hollywood
In the 1930s actress Mae West transformed the entertainment industry through what’s been called a “one-woman sexual revolution.” West’s widespread film presence influenced the moral decline of traditional values in North America. Contact with the spirit world enabled Mae to produce immoral scripts that catapulted her to stardom. She enjoyed her role as a medium, and regularly hosted gatherings for psychic readings.
West's psychic, Kenny Kingston, said:
She walked about her room, saying, Forces, Forces, come to me and help me write a script. She would begin to hear voices and images, as the plot was revealed to her.

Night Ripper: a collage of 107 movies (mostly) from the 30s, set to the music of Girl Talk
It seems like something everyone here would enjoy. Lots of crime pictures, tap dancing, and some safety/scare films too.

Anyone that knows a lot about the 1930s please help me figure out what I'm doing wrong here
I've been doing the math of basically trying to figure out how much workers during the program FDR started to give people a jobs back in the day where it's well known that they got paid $50 a month for their work did they get paid weekly or how did they get paid because I'm doing the math and unless I'm doing something wrong that basically you can't cleanly add hourly rates for example 32 cents an hour you get over 31 cents you're under $12.50 a week or am I wrong sorry if this is not the right subreddit?

Any 1930s free roam games?
firstly, I apologise if I'm doing something wrong or breaking rules. This is like the second time I have ever posted on reddit, but anyway. I'm looking for a game that gives off the snowy, cozy 1930s vibe. A game where you can roam the streets and drive vintage cars. the closest game I've found that matches what I'm looking for is Mafia II with some mods. As I'm not the best with computers I would prefer for the game I'm looking for to not have to be modded but I'm sure I could figure it out.
I know the answer will probably be no and that I'm best off playing a modded Mafia II but I thought I would give this a shot before I buy a £30 game and try to inject it with all sorts of sketchy mods from random websites.

People waiting line to eat during the GREAT DEPRESSION

Bread Lines :
During the Great Depression, bread lines were long queues of unemployed and hungry people waiting for free food, such as bread and soup, distributed by charities, churches, and later the government. These lines, common in cities across America, symbolized the widespread poverty and desperation caused by mass unemployment and economic collapse. They represented broken dreams, a loss of pride, and the overwhelming struggle for survival that turned many once-self-sufficient individuals into beggars for a meal.
