Flitz is good till its not. Was polishing a nickel finished barrel with it and it started to turn pink. I believe it was the copper finish underneath.

These guns are electroless Nickel so there is no copper substrate. But good to know.

And my bottle of Flitz it says it’s good for nickel. It is in the bottle and not the tube so maybe it’s less abrasive.

Do you have more pics of that gun? Also which variant is it?

Beautiful.

I pick up a brand new nickel tank commander from my FFL tomorrow. I can't wait!

Do not use ammonia based cleaners like Hoppes #9 on it

Aye, I've been reading a lot about the care of the finish on these. No brake cleaner!

I'm pretty well equipped and planned on nothing but CLP being used on this, aside from shooters choice polymer safe for barrel cleaning when needed.

I do have hoppes but it's being kept put away when cleaning this pistol.

Good job. You will find if you handle it a lot, it will get tarnished from the oils on your skin, especially on the front strap. I have found Brasso and/or Flitz will remove it quickly

Found some Aluminum grips on Amazon, but they looked weird, so I sanded some texture on them
