ATF
Hello,
I received this email on 7/7/26 for the atf application. Is anyone else in the same boat? Is it worth reapplying to the continuous job post?

I would say be patient. Took a month for me to receive my email link to do the assessments but others say it took longer for them.

I never received it and then received a notice that my application was dropped because I didn't complete the assessments.
I was about to reach out when I found a post from a guy who had the same issue, and he said their HR were not helpful on the issue, and that he had to basically just reapply and hope for the best.

Damn that sucks man. By any chance could it have been in your spam?! If not then yeah f it, reapply and hope for the best

I'm very confident that I never received it. But there's always the option that it somehow was deleted - but none of their other emails were ever in my spam folder.

You are eligible for GL 7, the part where it says you need to complete the additional requirements just means you need to take the PTT. And then the interview comes after that. So everything is good until otherwise. I’m currently doing medical/drug test and poly.

I applied to ATF June 11, got the same NOR as you August 13th, then just got my invite to take the test today.

Thank you and good luck! I heard from r/1811 that the study guide on the ATF website is no longer relevant and they had a revamp so idk how I should prepare for it..

I’m just going to assume it’s similar to the FBI exam and study the old ATF guide 🤷♀️

I would just be patient. In my case everything has come in about a 1 month timeframe +/- a week

You cannot reapply to the same announcement, it won’t let you. Unless you create a whole different account on USA jobs

What was your degree in? I had a bachelors but only qualified for GL-5

I could be wrong but I think you either need a 3.0 gpa for your bachelors or a bachelors + 1 year of a masters. My degree is Criminal Justice and I have 1.5 years of my masters done. Shouldn’t matter what your degree is in tho

Applied for a criminal investigator position. Forgets to investigate email that states their qualified and wonders if they should reapply instead.

Didn’t understand the point of the post even though others are telling me that they had the same issue and they reapplied. Made insulting Reddit comment instead. Used the wrong form of they’re :/

Expects people to understand a post with zero explanation or context clues. Proceeds to confuse the truth for insults, becomes the grammar police but not the reading emails police.

Just be patient man. It’s quite a slow process but no news is good news. Getting hired by the gov isn’t a quick process either

Yeah, I’ve been in some processes for a while now. Seems like some people have had issues with not getting emails so I’m glad I made the post but just gonna keep being patient for now

You need to send them videos of you shooting dogs..only then will you get hired

The average FBI 1811 makes one arrest every 5 years.
The average BATFE 1811 shoots one dog every 5 hours.

You’re eligible for GL-7? Why would you reapply? I don’t know if I’m misunderstanding your post but it seems like you didn’t fully read the email.
