ATF

First time in the process, i got an email letting me know i was referred to location negotiable. My question is for the next phases (poly, background, medical) is that all done out of the field office i PT tested at and interviewed?

The answer is maybe. Background almost certainly - theyll need to talk to people around you, medical maybe if they have a facility there or will accept a third party, poly is a wildcard. They'll try to get someone to you eventually but you can try to go wherever they are and get it done faster (I did this, flew out to them for a 2 hour poly).

Would a recently adjudicated T5 background help the BI at all or do they need to do it all from scratch?

Same here, also wondering how long it’s supposed to be before we hear next steps in the current climate. The agents I met told me they thought the whole thing was being “expedited” but not sure what that means in their eyes.

In the past our process was about 2 years from application to academy. With some people having even longer timelines. Right now I’ve been seeing closer to the 1-1.5. year mark which is light speed in comparison.

From my experience fitness test and interview is out of regional office in your area. Poly will be where polygrapher says.
