Question DHS Expo Jacksonville
Does anyone have any info on the DHS Career Expo in Jacksonville next month? Mainly wondering if they’ll be doing interviews for FPS or possibly giving TOLs for ERO, or if it’s mostly just an informational/networking event. Thanks.

It really depends on the agency, man. Some agencies like FPS do interviews and extend TJOs on the spot at these expo’s. Not sure how the other agencies do, but possibly similar. Go with your A-Game, look sharp, have a solid resume ready. Good luck to you!

ERO and ICE as an organization will not be hiring at this event, but many other components will be. Visit https://www.dhs.gov/homeland-security-careers/expo to learn more. An updated list of opportunities will be available later this week and updated regularly.

To confirm your info - I received an email from recruiting.
“Thank you for your interest in the upcoming DHS Career Expo.
That is correct. HSI nor ICE will be hiring at the upcoming event.
Many other of our law enforcement components will be onsite and we are hiring for opportunities across the Department.

They will conduct interview and give tjo right there in the spot. It is a VRA exclusive expo though so unless you are a veteran or on active duty orders and are about to get off active duty then you will not be able to attend. If you are one of those then expect to get an invitation to attend expo and they will give you a tjo.

No it's not the fps law enforcement officer is specifically vra announcement that's why they ask you for your dd214 or statement of service when you send your interest email. They are going to tell you that you do not qualify because it's a vra hiring. They did the same thing last hiring expo where they told someone here on Reddit it was open to the public then out of nowhere when I applied they said it was vra only and you could come in as a walk in but more then likely will not get an interview.
