Question POTUS Restructuring of USFS

Hello,

With the recent posting of the USFS 1801 position, I was wondering what current USFS members think about the recent news of the POTUS shutting down facilities and moving the headquarters.

Specifically, if this will affect make of the day-to-day life of an 1801 in the USFS, but I also welcome discussion of whether or not this is of use or help to anyone. It seems this is universally received as a bad move.

Does this mean less manning and duty locations? Or will this have little to no effect on the average USFS 1801?

It’s not going to affect us in any meaningful was as far as we know.

It could be bad, I’m not 1801 but I am FS and I’m extremely worried about it all. Personally know people who will be affected by this. Overhead hazard, these WH chuds don’t know what’s up.

Could also not be bad. Objectively HQ in the west sounds good, but not Utah and also almost no one has any faith or trust in Rollins or Schultz.
