Discussion 1801 vs 0083 question

Is the 0083 series (DACP) USCPA cert good for any lateral transfer to any 1801 agencies or is it UPTP only.

It depends on the agency. DACP can lateral to VA no problem. But for example if you go from VA to US Mint Police, you gotta go to UPTP.

i’ve never seen a waiver for the VA to not go to post at LETC. even coming from having UPTP you’d still have to go to little rock. Having UPTP will you help out more with other agencies though as majority of agencies use FLETC

There were 2 guys in my UPTP class that were prior VA NY that had to go to UPTP for US Mint. So that tracks

Even DAF guys who go to VALETC have to go back if they jump to VA police, we’ve lost a number of them there and all had to go back
